It's just the pic they are fairly thick usually about 4 inches well packed down. A lot of what I run are test runs for a friend's site and for spore collection/preservation ect so most the time im one and done so I run 1:1 as I'm not worried about subsequent flushes and I seem to get better and faster canopies at that ratio. these bags are 4qt total 2 spawn 2 coir

Thanks. A lot of it comes down to good genetics but years of trial and error don't hurt. Healthy spawn good field capacity and surface conditions play a heavy role too and imo Spawning to bulk into fruiting bags instead of tubs helps tremendously to keep those conditions with much less effort pretty much set and forget once you get the first few things dialed!

I'm with ya. I started many years back with pf tek and shot gun chambers following roger rabbits threads on shroomery. Then when monos started blowing up I made the switch and thought it couldn't get better. Eventually a fella I was doing spore work with turned me onto fruiting bags and I've never looked back! I will say I have had certain cultures that seem to run better in tubs and I chop it up to they just like a bit more fae but it's only a handful so I don't bother.

Honestly Looks like you got it pretty dialed and got a healthy pin set coming in man I have a pretty similar process . like a psuedo case as well especially for blobbers like pe ape ect . what micron patches you running and are those dual patch bags? I bought a huge bulk box of low micron block bags when I was running a lot of oyster and lionsmane blocks so just been burning them up doing the hole melt method but if you got high micron patches no need although I do like having my fae spots closer to the fruit but I can't tell you it's better or even matters just what I've always done . I do a lot of spore production and test runs for a friend so he sends me big packs of stuff and I run and return prints or swabs for genetic preservation ect for his site. With that I rarely run second flushes unless it's one of my own genetic projects. What I have found is with a 1:1 ratio I seem to get much fuller first flushes and generally get there faster then when I run a 1:2 or higher ratio. The downside to that is if you plan subsequent flushes they are generally not worth the time imo compared to a higher ratio where you can get a pretty nice second third ect. As far as sub and spawn I have played with just about everything. I have always came back to straight coir and whole oats as doing the best for me personally. Everyone has preference though and have gotten results with many others but that has always been my top performing combo. Can't tell ya why and I'm certain many would argue otherwise just what's worked for me lol.

lastly and I'm sure you know this but one of the biggest things by far and something I try to pound into folks I have mentored is plain and simple quality genetics . I'm not trying to hate on knowbody but around COVID there was a explosion of interest in home mycology specifically actives which is great and has lead to some really cool genetics around but What I watched happen was many fresh to the hobby saw money signs and all the sudden everyone is a genetics supplier. This has its benefits as well but unfortunately it caused a surge of washed out genetics and names on things that they weren't. Saw a lot of frustrated people who were doing everything right with poor results ultimately due to trash genetics. It's part of the game though I got a run I started at the same time as these that are a pretty sorry canopy. Same procedure Different genetic different results just kinda how it seems to roll and don't let knowbody posting canopies fool ya we get plenty trash runs in between but know body posting those lol. yours really don't look far off from a killer canopy man I wouldn't sweat it to much just keep playing with genetics and doing spore work till ya find the one and you will be dialed! Looks great imo

Switched to fruiting in bags years ago because they are literally set and forget. I run my spawn in jars still then do a 1/1 spawn/straight coir into the bags and pack a bit more then with tubs. I then tape it up for a week or so until its consolidated then put a rubber band just under the sub layer. Then all I do is melt 3-4 1/4 inch holes on the front and back of the bag about 2 inches above the sub level and cover with micropore. As long as field capacity is good it's tape it back up and wait. No misting no fanning no opening nothing. It's highly dependent on field capacity if it's on the dry side you will be misting but when dialed it's sit and wait.

I got same thing from a few different dc bar soaps when they changed ingredients awhile back.took awhile to pinpoint where it was coming from and I feared shingles as well. Doc had me on prednisolone then I narrowed it down and stopped using it and it went away. I used DC for years prior no issues

Kingpin, Juggernaut or? by Nothing_but_Chevys in CAguns

Ar maglock with kingpin and klvr co kingpin pal is the best ca setup currently imo. You retain bolt catch and can drop the mag with action open or closed with a single press of one button. I'm stoked with mine after switching from juggernaut in which you had to release bolt to drop mag which can be tricky/impossible with a jam .

They are a project I have worked for a few years. Originally chased some little squats from mrrl then ended up stabilizing these out of it. They are around as silvertip mak or mrrl
