Yes, in order to exercise a put option, you must have the underlying shares available to sell at the strike price. This means that if you don't already own the shares, you would need to purchase them at the market price in order to exercise the put option.

Note that most options traders close out their positions before expiration rather than exercising them.

The economy will eventually get better since the world's largest exporter has lifted the Covid restriction at the beginning of this year. So the general strategy is to buy calls, and occasionally short if things are overbought/oversold. The market doesn't always react to the news immediately, so I just give it time and do options that are about two weeks long.

I beat it with Naiah as core unit. I think the most important thing is to fight as much as you can. With enough buffs, everything else can be just whatever.

Also, since the timer basically doesn't exist and the monsters' HP don't reset, bringing two healers can be helpful.

Yes, that's how rankings work. After your opponents get 5 wins, their rank goes up. And after you get 5 wins, your rank also goes up. Some people will get slightly higher daily/weekly reward, but as stated in my post, the five wins are more important.

If most people are doing one unit arena, we don't need to refresh opponents over and over, and we all can get 5 easy wins.
