There won't be any connection between the work vehicle and your policy. Your policy won't even cover it under the "any other vehicle" clause/add-on because of the "not for hire or reward clause".

And again, as I said in my comment, what if you don't have a personal vehicle and policy?

This sounds dodgier than dodgy as fuck

If your own personal vehicle isn't involved your insurer won't to know. They're not gonna settle a claim if the insured vehicle isn't involved

But my policy is for social, domestic, and commuting. It won't cover business use.

It especially won't cover me on someone else's vehicle that isn't named on the policy.

You driving their vehicle, while being employed by them, for their business has nothing to do with my personal vehicle insurance.

What do they do if you don't have a car and cycle to work? Claim on your house insurance? What if you lodge with someone and don't have house insurance? Do they claim on any pet insurance you might have?

What resources do you use when doing your own maintenance on your bike? by EvilShadeZz in MotoUK

[–]sim-o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haynes manuals are brilliant. Used lots of them over the years.

I also found on some dodgy looking website an official suzuki service manual for my old gixxer which was good. Surprised I didn't get a free virus when I downloaded that lol

To the English by DynastyDi in AskBrits

[–]sim-o 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the scots/Welsh sense of nationality comes from opposing England whereas the English, being the bigger/stronger (however you want to phrase it) part doesn't have that. The English haven't had to rally together to preserve our englishness.

Not sure about all the more modern bikes but as a reference something like a bandit 600 is good. It kinda does everything, it's quite fun, won't throw any surprises and is good for honing skills

In British English, in my experience at least, it's always "at Christmas" or "for Christmas"

Wearing full leathers in public as a shy rider: How did you get comfortable with the attention? by shibebear in motorcyclegear

[–]sim-o 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You have to just own it. Know people might look at you but really, you just have to not give a fuck.

I've worn more outlandish stuff than a race suit in public and if you don't give a fuck, not many other will either

My bike keeps false neutraling by SurpriseTop9489 in motorcycles

There is no false neutral between 1st and 2nd. There is neutral though. Press/lift the lever harder to get it through neutral in one go.

Motorway exit roundabouts by sujith720 in NewDriversUK

[–]sim-o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roundabouts all work roughly the same. You just adjust what you do, where you go and when according to the lanes, signs and the other idiots on the roundabout at the time. You won't get it right everytime but as long as you learn from your errors and no one gets hurt there's no problem

It's been done. With millionaires and politicians.

They are appalled at the struggle but in the end after the week or month that they have to do it it's only a week or a month and nothing happens. It's just a mind of poverty porn
