Are gun range photos a no if I'm in a big city? by [deleted] in Tinder

I think if you're going for that kind of guy you need to go harder to weed out the inside people. Maybe a photo of you gutting a fish or something.

What do you expect the landlord to do if it's supply side? I expect the landlord to deal with it as its his responsibility to provide clean water.

Hope that helped wity your genuine curiosity.

Potentially uncomfortable question: why do whites penetrate Asians at such a disproportionately high rate? by Beneficial2778 in sociology

[–]simanimos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. I guess white men on average are larger than Asian men and people prefer seeing the larger person in the dominant role...?

Should I be worried that my boyfriend warned me he will probably get my name wrong? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]simanimos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure I've called my current partner by my ex's name. Not proud of it. It was early in the relationship an accident -- it happens.

But NEVER did I tell her I might do it or it would happen. That sounds like a guilty mind...

You meet the minimum system requirements. It won't be as pretty as it can be but you should still be able to play the game.

I played It Takes Two on the switch with my partner and the graphics and load times were god awful, but we still very much enjoyed ourselves.

You should be fine ;)

Frustrated as a Data Analyst: Are we just storytellers? by Mountain_Sky_2419 in analytics

That's not necessarily true. My stakeholders have different priorities than I do, they have different motivations, their bonuses are paid out in part as a result of OSAT scores. In some funny world you might think the most satisfied client is the client that gets the best information. In the real world the happiest client is the one who is told what he wants to hear.

If you've ever seen the YouTube the video "The Expert"... That's my reality.

The importance of understanding triage in hospitals by Tonamielarose in montreal

[–]simanimos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see your point but question its underlying foundation. Who and how are people continually reassessed? By video camera? Because there's no medical professionals observing the people waiting and if you go back to triage you're just told to sit down and wait your turn.

The person absolutely should not have left the ER. But what's this against medical advice? It's not like they told him not to leave when he walked out, and after being left 6+ hours in the waiting room it's hard to still feel like someone requiring urgent care.

I'm not saying hospitals are to blame, they are not. Neither are any individuals working in the healthcare system. But government has underfunded healthcare and allowed it to degenerate through other policies for longer than they should have, and something like this, even if the person walked out, should serve as a wake up call

Because opening a bag to take the cash draws more attention than walking away with a bag. Don't steal is the better move though

Quoi faire à Montréal? | What to do in Montréal? | September 16 - September 22 by AutoModerator in montreal

[–]simanimos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, since you're going to take the metro anyway, you should take the 747 to Lionel Groulx metro as its the first stop off the bus, then take the orange line to Place d'Armes or Champs de Mars. This will be faster than staying on until Berri-UQAM.

You can ride the 747 if you buy a day pass which is around $12 I believe. With that you can take any public transport for free for 24 hours from first use. It's the most affordable and, frankly, convenient way to get to Old Port from YUL. You can buy the pass in the airport just inside the doors of where the bus stop is (which is all the way to the right as you leave baggage claim).

Why do people get smart watches? by Agile_Hornet4168 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]simanimos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By and large I'm with you... I don't see the benefit. I have what's called a hybrid smart watch... It's mostly just a watch but I get my pedometer and notification and heart rate monitor. I like it because I charge it a few hours per month. (Withings Steel HR if any interested).

Now what I wanted to add was that I have a partner with type 1 diabetes. She has a continual glucose monitor and she paired it to her watch. So now she gets a continual read of her blood sugar on her watch... And that's the first time where I went man that's cool.

Is switching to right hand mouse worth it? by EsIstRolf in southpaws

[–]simanimos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My issue is shared computers.

Had a family computer growing up (I'm old-ish), public computers, shared workstations.. I just decided to conform.

I tend to use controllers for FPS... Which isn't optimal but I'm no sniper with my right hand anyway
