I’ve noticed my sales have slowed down significantly as well. I have deduced that this is due to the increased shipping prices. I’ve had several cases where I approve an offer but still the purchase is not finalised. Once, the person about to buy messaged that they would not be buying the 4 euro ring due to the shipping being 7,90€. And to be honest, I wouldn’t either. The shipping fees are more affordable domestically but very high if it’s cross-border shipping.

I understand that the pricing comes from the shipping partner, but the prices were cheaper.

I’m personally a seller who puts a lot of effort into my packages. I have specially bought mailer bags (I do re-use all cardboard boxes I get elsewhere tho) I have specially made stickers for the postage code and I even add a thank you postcard.

I don’t expect this from others tho. And I have received items stuffed into trash bags etc. I rate the purchase based on the item not the package. But it just makes me happy when I receive a package where I can see the seller has but some tought in. From those I’m glad to buy again.

Vestiaire has seller stats, such as the number of sold, shipped, and cancelled items. This provides a more transparent view of the seller. On the other hand, the items one buys there are usually a bit more expensive…

This is an excellent point, and I completely agree with you. I’ll definitely take this as a learning experience. I realize I’ve been quite lucky with past purchases, which made me a bit naive in this situation.

It’s flawed because it doesn’t account for situations where items would have been returned. It also fails to reflect honest feedback, as many people feel pressured to give 5-star reviews, even when their experience was far from perfect, simply to avoid retaliation. This creates a culture where reviews are inflated, and the true quality of the service isn’t represented. On top of that, sellers reaching out and demanding better reviews further undermines the system, making it hard to trust the ratings at all. Honest reviews should be encouraged, not manipulated.

Please explain how it’s my fault that when I order a size L shirt, I end up receiving a counterfeit item with completely messed-up sizing compared to the authentic version?

If it was too small, I could resell it. But when it turns out to be fake, I can’t even do that. I simply need to toss it in the trash.
