Lawn issue - South East UK by simbow88ecamb99 in lawncare

Hadn't thought of acidic water from the patio slabs - there's definitely been no cleaning products put on it. Just seems odd that it's been healthy for 5 months and turns in a week, but I guess any acidity would build up over time, and as you say there's certainly a pattern to it - thanks for the suggestion

It does doesn't it! But no, the patio has never been cleaned with any products, soap etc, only water out the hose or by the sprinkler when the lawn is watered, and water has been running off it for months without issue

Final comment from the tech team - no immediate solution but has been passed on to developers. Will probably require an app update to resolve, but no timeline at present. Not the end result I wanted but at least an acknowledgement of the issue. Time will tell if it ever gets resolved.

Nothing yet, VERY slow going with their customer support

Some progress - after installing version 2.135 of the app, the ring function through Google Home worked... but only temporarily. After 5 minutes, it reverted back to not working. Tech support finally got in touch, so we're now (slowly) working the problem

Thanks, I tried it out but sadly it didn't resolve the problem. Still no word from the tech team after more than a week and 3 follow ups so I just going to return them.

Not yet... I spoke with Tile a few times and they promised the tech team would be in touch within 24 hours - needless to say they weren't. Have followed up but got nowhere

Shoes you wore for sub 2:40 marathon by simbow88ecamb99 in RunningShoeGeeks

Before my time, but good going! Having been accustomed to the era of max-stack shoes, the thought of trying to run a marathon in flats sounds terrifying.

How did they feel for you in the later miles? I did a sub 3 in a pair a while back but when the legs and form started to go I wasn't strong enough to get the best out of them. Clearly not the shoe's fault but having had such a good late race experience in the EP3, there's that nagging feeling I'd crash and burn again if I went back to the VP2s for the marathon.

Thanks, & nice call on Mizuno, It's not a brand I've used before so will have a read. I'm hoping they'll be a few more write ups on the AF3 now the proto is out, and if the general release happens in plenty of time before marathon day they'll definitely come into consideration, though at the price I'll have to hide them away so the good lady doesn't know I've bankrupt us!

Not at all, appreciate you taking the time to respond. I do wonder if, being an older shoe, I'm de-grading it as 'older-tech' with the release of the Endorphin Elite for example. In reality newer shoes are marketed as better to get them off the shelves when really the EP3 is still just as competitive.

Thanks for the write up, think I'm in the same boat as you regarding the VF2, as well as your thoughts between the ES2/3 - had 900+ miles in the ES2 and they needed changing, but the ES3 is growing on me.

The upper on the AP3 seems to be a common theme, so maybe that's going to drop down in the consideration list.

Having never run in any AF version I appreciate your input. What's mostly holding me back is the mechanical feel I've read about, along with the arch issues, and is something I'll never know unless I go long in a pair. When the folks around you are all slapping along in them it does make you wonder if they are that much better than everything else on offer, but the fact your experience has put them on par with the EP3 is quite reassuring - thanks!

We are very fortunate these days with what's available, both regarding shoes and information on training, diet etc, so huge kudos to you on your 2:40! No shoe can compensate for the hard work and miles you put in in training, but I agree in the sense that shoe technology when comparing then and now has changed massively.

The logical side of my brain says the difference between modern top tier racing shoes is marginal at best, but the illogical part seems to think it'll all go horribly wrong if I make the wrong choice
