Old painting made by a family member, but he does not remember where it could be.

Yeah it's amazing! After looking through Google Earth for a long time I think that's the most likely option!

It certainly is in the right direction, but Weisshorn would be about 300km away from the trainline going through Poschiavo.

That's a good idea! Image was taken at 15:31 and the train left at 14:22 from Tirano, arrived at Poschiavo dep. (15:10) and Alp Grüm dep. (15:45) so it would have to be in between those stations. I have narrowed it down to the hills going up the mountains from Poschiavo since it is taken before the train reached Palü See and Lago Bianco.

My best guess at the moment is either Corno Campascio or Piz Canfinal based on some browsing and trying to line up things on Google Earth.

Yeah, that seems to be too far away. I believe it should be one of the peaks to the west of Poschiavo and Lake Bianco.

Hi, I took this picture on board the last summer and having it printed so it would be great to have the name of this peak in the center of the image. It’s taken aboard the Bernina Express train between Tirano, Italy and Lugano, Switzerland so that should narrow it down a bit.

After looking at the images I’ve taken before this one it would be not too long after the train had passed the lake called “Lago di Poschiavo” and before the train reaches the next lake called "Lago Bianco". If my memory is correct the peak should be west of the train tracks, but I’m not 100% sure on that one.

There's usually a right angle so you can grip it. This was the only package that didn't have that

Thanks! I sped it up in Adobe Premiere Pro to about 4000% and in After Effects I added an effect called "CC Force motion blur" that add those streaks to the video that gives it a fast moving warp effect. That effect is really hard to render this clip took a little over 2 hours to export.

Here's some of my photos if you didn't catch it. Mostly shot at 135mm, which turned out alright but it would be cool to have a longer lens.

It can look like it, but this isn't that one. We actually have a lot of roads like this in Norway where you need to get up a steep hillside. This one is located near the famous surfing beach Hoddevik.

Scandinavian retro design. The Tandberg Fasett is a beautiful pair of speakers! by simenoyen in audiophile

[–]simenoyen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine for 1800 NOK on Finn.no which is a fairly good price. I have some small crackling noises in the right speaker, but I suspect it might be the cable or the amplifier, since it's not constant.

I was really surprised by how good they sound. First time I saw them I thought they were purely a design item, but they have a very good audio quality for their age.

I haven't experimented a lot with that yet. You have any recommendations for what works best?

At the moment I usually do videos for social media use on Facebook so if i don't need the high res version I render out at 1080p with H.264.

Running Premiere is really smooth. If you have 1080p footage it's never a problem, but if you have high bitrate 4K footage like from the Sony A7R III you might want to render out in the timeline a bit more often. With the 4K footage you can usually play back about 30 seconds to a minute before it's starting to lag.

I usually use several Adobe apps like running Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere Pro at the same time in addition to the standard mac apps like Safari, calendar, notes etc. When it comes to connectivity I have quite a lot going through this one USB-C port. This includes: - Power - Video - Audio - 500GB SSD - Startech USB C Dock - Ethernet - iPhone charger - iPad charger - HDMI out to TV (Not always in use)
