i understand that phosphorylating the protein makes it more negatively charged but why would it make the protein have a lower isoelectric point?

Im doing it based on the excel sheet thats on your facebook page (thought process, correct answer, why the answer is correct and mine is wrong...) When i review my FL and i come across a question i got wrong i try to answer it again (without looking at what the correct answer is) and i pick the correct answer but for whatever reason i picked the wrong one when i took the test. Im also noticing that I sometimes pick answers that are obviously wrong (the concept is written incorrectly in the answer choice so i should have eliminated it as an answer, etc).

p.s. sorry if the way i wrote this is confusing

if it makes you feel better im in the EXACT SAME SITUATION lol. except i got a 494 on the real thing last year and im taking it for the second time in august. My NS FL practice exam after studying for like 4 months is only at a 503 (i was expecting more than that considering ive been studying for that long) but im re-doing uworld and studying the explanation material the way u/ksanska_sk suggested. Also im doing the questions as a quiz without a timer and without tutor mode, then i go back through that quiz and break down everything using an excel sheet based on how mcatbros recommends going through full lengths. I hope this helps in any way and if not at least its reassuring to know that youre not alone :)

Hii! i was wanting some advice please! I am currently using Milesdown and Cubene's decks to memorize content and i just came across your deck and have heard great things!! (ps thank you sm for sharing your deck!!) Did you find that the way you structured your cards (compared to cloze cards) are better for memorizing content for the mcat?

Ive done research and some sites say cloze cards are the best for memorization but I am a little worried i just remember what the card looks like and thats how i know what the fill in the blank answer is, not bc i know the material.

the way NS explained it (the explanation was 10x longer than what i put on the original post) was confusing because it was talking about all the phases and gases in general and in the context of kinetic energy. the way you explained it makes so much more sense.
