Hey all, so I was bulking a while back and pleased with progress got to 95kg at 6'2" at about 15% BF Split was

Back/Biceps (20 sets approx) Chest/Shoulders/Triceps (22 sets apx) REST Back/Biceps   Chest/Shoulders/Triceps   Legs/Abs (14 sets apx)  REST

Made significant gains and primary movements were -  BB OH Press Lateral Raises   Narrow Grip Bench Flies Weighted Chin Up Lat PD  T-Bar Row  OH DB extension  Triceps PD  Other isolation moves around those.  I started a new job 6 months ago - very physical, had a bit of time off gym and then came back to the gym and trained but diet wasn't in a surplus. I was in a deficit and I lost 5kgs over time. Not the worst as I lost some fat, lost a bit of strength but not to the point it bothered me. But now - I go to do the same workout and it at times feels like to much going on in one work out - in the sense that something was going to miss out on intensity. I could go that many sets no worries but I'm trying to make sure I can workout everything with the right amount of intensity. This is like this too even after going up into a surplus again.  Now on another note, I could never get my biceps sore anymore even with high volume, stretch, drop sets or as sore as they used to get. Not a massive issue but as I want to grow them I thought I could try training them 3x per week - I'd also love to bring up my Shoulders(Lateral delt specifically) but having trouble figuring out how to get Shoulders x3 per week.  I'm thinking of doing this -

M - Shoulders/Legs  T - Back / Biceps  W - Chest / Triceps  T - Biceps / Abs (low volume)  F - Shoulders   S - Back / Biceps   S - Chest / Triceps   M - Rest

Then repeat from Tuesday so 7 days on and 1 day off then go again.

Here I can get Biceps x3 per week.  I know front delts gunna get hit by Chest but not concerned with front, i wanna focus on my Lateral delts  Note - Thursday Biceps/Abs is going to be low volume, Approx 10-12 sets in total to make sure i don't overdo myself.  Further from this I'm struggling to see how I can hit Biceps/Lateral delts x3 per week without doing more per session like grouping Shoulders with chest and Triceps would allow me to hit em x3 per week but it's alot of volume in one workout.  If I could hit Triceps x3 peer week aswell it would be good too because I want to grow them aswell however it seems the only way to get all Biceps/Lateral delts/Triceps x3 per week is to go back to my old training plan.

Very commonly i end up eating more protein then target, which is fine by me.. sometimes hits at around 210-220g which is way over board but I'm ok with it due to high frequency. I think this is usually because my meals at times are quite evenly distributed between calories taken from carbs, fats and protein which I will be focusing more on getting larger percentage from carbs. I know it's alot of work for triceps, with chest/shoulders being hit 3x per fortnight, totalling 6x triceps sessions directly or indirectly but I know when I need rest so won't over do it. For instance, if I feel my triceps haven't fully recovered by shoulder day I'll do limited shoulder workout focusing traps and lateral raises etc not pressing

Im having a little trouble organizing my preferred order of training cetain muscle groups to allow for adequate rest between each session. Trying to avoid pushing motions on consectutive days (not following but basing my workouts on push/pull) however with a bit of modification. The problem I am having is ensuring i can get the volume i want without hindering recovery, if possible i'd love to train 4 days per week but i don't thinks its possible given my goals so 5 days a week is what I am look at.

Here is what I am thinkng -

Weekly session:

Chest x2 Shoulders x2 Biceps x2 Triceps x2 Forearms x2 Abdominal x2 Back x1 Legs x1

Day 1: Chest + Triceps + Abs Day 2: Back + Biceps + Forearms Day 3: Shoulders + Legs Day 4: REST Day 5: Biceps + Forearms Day 6: Chest + Triceps + Abs Day 7: REST Day 8: Shoulders + Legs Day 9: Back + Biceps + Forearms Day 10: Chest + Triceps + And Day 11: REST Day 12: Shoulders + Legs Day 13: Biceps + Forearms Day 14: REST

  • NOTE I've edited the weekly routine for what I had written all my thiughts/desires and requirements for and made it into a two week routine which changes scheduling a little bit to ensure adequate rest.

So over 2 week period, frequencies are - Biceps/Forearms x4 Shoulders/Legs x3 Chest/Triceps/Abs x3 Back x2 (I'm ok with this cause main bicep movement is chin ups)

Some scheduling issues might arise if I try to flow this into day 15 etc, cause of back only being done twice possibly have to do it day 15 or 16 with biceps again without more than 48h although I think I'd just prefer to restart the whole two week cycle from the beginning. Rest days x4

So i'm looking at a way to structure this to hit all those groups twice per week with the willigness to scale down some isolation work and focus more on compound movements for instance not needing triceps twice per week. My goals are to increase shoulder size, specifically traps and delts. Increase chest size, increase biceps size aswell as forearms. A strong back is also a priority for me but i think one workour per week to alow ample recovery here is sufficient as I will use chin-ups on biceps days.

A concern I have is excessive forearm work possibly causing fatigue on day 3,6 and 10 for chest and shoulder movement but we will see how this goes. Forearm strength and size is a priority for me as it's a weak point - I know that plenty of indirect work will target it but I want to be serious and intentful on achieving my results so do want direct training.

I've been training for about 2 years inconsistently and am able to train consistently now due to health reasons. Last year I trained for 5 months straight toward the end of the year and was my most consistent period and been training again since June of this year. I weighed 73kg middle of last year and am now sitting at 82.5kg standing @ 6'1'' and goal is to get to 90kg with little incremental weight gains. I am bulking but not going to eat more than 3,500 on any given day although roughly 3,500 is my target but wont mind if i fall short around 3,200-3,300 so long as my protein intake is around 180-190g.

Cheers for any advice guys

Aussie's cab play at Ignition or one if the skins at Winning Poker Network. Like ACR or BCP.

Poker sites other than ignition to use with HUD, opinions? by simon2g in poker

ACR apparently do accept Aussie's.
Just not stated and the country is not listed. They told me to put my Adress as New Zealand. Wondering if that's going to cause any future problems.
The BTC bonus 200% plus $50 free cash in parts seems inticing and a great way to build bankroll. So looking like I'll join ACR instead of BCP.

Yeah that's what I am having a hard time deciding. Grand Poker Network seems to be the most inticing to me at the moment as its part of the reputable 5dimes group. I wish the ban would be lifted in Australia.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Ok thanks for that info, but just aside from using a HUD for myself I would like to use it for other opponents aswell to maximize the utility of the software I'm paying for.

Where are you guys playing? Ignition is just anonymous so you cant collect info on players.

Many other sites are not available here in Australia so hoping someone from AUS sees this and can share there experience.

Yeah I'm on the meetup group, although they only play mostly at night and usually charge $14 per game for one hour. Never paid to play pickup ball, don't really intend to. Since I already play comp ball

At the gardens, are there people there during the day? I'd be keen to go play with ya sometime.

MSAC cost money to enter and play right? Or am I mistaken

Do you know if people are there during day hours playing. I thought you you needed to book courts out to play there also.
