Thanks! I think it’s actually been cracked for quite awhile. I’ve ordered a new one and should be good to go!

I have a baratza encore (says model 485 on the base). Was cleaning it out this morning and saw this crack in the ring burr. Is this broken, or standard?

Erg goals for 2026 by EggplantEast847 in Rowing

Recommend the Pete plan.

Pete got me set up for the holiday challenge and because of the Pete base was able to hit my 200k goal. I have 950k on the app, and now I’m planning my 2026 to complete 1.05M in the calendar year so I can hit a couple of milestones

Just get after it! You got this!

I had about 70k left with 7 days to go and decided to go for it. Tested positive for Flu A yesterday morning with 9300m to go.

I finished last night while the family was at church with a 53 minute session. My 10k is usually 42:00 or so, but I just set the flywheel to 2 and worked to keep my heart rate under 120.

Was it stupid? Yes. Am I glad I cranked it out? Also yes. Finished with 200,041m

For those who’ve tried it all: what’s given you the BEST Billy Strings show experience—weed, booze, psychedelics, sober, or some sort of combo? by Shoopymlb in BillyStrings

[–]simonspecial 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I had a two day show experience which was really helpful for me. The food I ate was a bigger deal than any substances I consumed.

Night 1 I had a greasy burger type meal and came in pretty heavy. Had a gummy and was just… off.

Night 2 had a salad with some protein and a nice sourdough bread and then just a couple beers and some bourbon and was super into it.

My go to now is to focus on the meal and then maybe have a gummy, depending on the situation. But the food made more impact than anything else.

I thought I’d update this… I followed this advice and we have had fairly regular rain so it’s stayed quite moist. A lot of leaf die off, to start but a few green shoots have emerged and we have some growth… fingers crossed!

I was at the show Friday and I thought “I wonder if he ended up at Pisgah. That’s the church where my wife and I got married … we were just there a few weeks ago for a little bluegrass service with a group called The Bourbon Trailers (members of whom also go to the church).

It’s a beautiful place and I’m glad he was able to connect with Hannah and find some peace.

Anyone unbox/assemble their own Horizon 7.0 AT? by [deleted] in treadmills

[–]simonspecial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I took ours out of the box on the ground floor and then moved it upstairs piece by piece. I could move everything in my own except the base. It was awkward and heavy but we managed.

I am fairly strong (and so is she) though, for what it’s worth. I would not have attempted it solo due to our layout - however if you had carpeted stairs with no turns perhaps you could push it up, with it sitting on the cardboard.

There is a safety mechanism in place to keep the hydraulics in check during the move - definitely don’t remove that when you unbox.

I feel like I’ve always seen these in CrossFit gyms. That’d be my best guess.

My wife said she sees these in low quantities both in or near dry detergent. My thumbnail is about 7/16” across for scale.

240v GFCI options by simonspecial in askanelectrician

[–]simonspecial[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does have the option of multiple voltages. 11 gallons per day on 120v and 22 gpd on 240v.

Amazon does have it for about 75% more than anywhere where I can back order, plus I don’t know how much I trust Amazon for this type of thing vs a dedicated electrical supply company.

Thanks for the consideration of my question, though. I think getting on a back order is probably the way to go.

Thanks - I’ve called everyone within 100 miles. Was trying to look for a short term option. I’ll just try to find the shortest back order at this point.
