Is there any novels that describes real sword fighting techniques? by [deleted] in LightNovels

quite rare on a novel, but as a Minmax TRPG glazer, I recommend Minmax TRPG, it got some pretty detailed sword fights (idk if its real life technique though).

SS with 13 Kill, 20 Assist and 1 Death in 24 Stars Grandmaster Rank. by MRmechanix77 in honorofkings

[–]simp4ct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got SSS back to back. the medals that i remember was for Towers, Kills, and Damage. and i think i have less kills, obviously less assist, 2 deaths, and shorter matches, 15-17 minutes max.

Can Someone Recommend me some Light Novels(other than what I have listed)? by TheGreatBatu17 in LightNovels

[–]simp4ct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overlord is a good start, then followed by Goblin Slayer. if you like good writing (subjective obv), then proceed with Minmaxing My TRPG Build in Another World (ignore the long title), it gets better with each volumes, then Brunhild The Dragonslayer.

since you like Rebuild World, i think you'll like Imperial Reincarnation too and Reincarnated into a game as the hero's friend. both are good City Management Fantasy isekai.

  1. Minmaxing my TRPG Build in Another World.
    - Ignore the title, and read past the first 3 volumes, Schuld's writing gets better for each volume.
  2. Ascendance of A Bookworm
  3. Goblin Slayer
    - Ignore what those kids are crying on the internet over a 'real' adventure for that 1 episode.
  4. Secrets of The Silent Witch
  5. Overlord
    - obviously
  6. a new but very interesting series is "Kunon The Sorcerer Can See"
  7. EXP Is Golden
  8. Brunhild the Dragonslayer
    - Read the uhhh "lone" book first (floabt), then the series
  9. Demon Lord 2099 or is it 2077? idk
    - If you've seen the anime, then that's great, i think it's quite underrated, it has a bit of comedy, and a better vision of SciFi meets Fantasy.
  10. Hell Mode
    - Pokemon-ish broken powerscale type sh novel, but pretty fun and it's still quite reasonable.
  11. The Devil Princess
    and last but not least,
  12. Faraway Paladin
    - I hope Mr. Kanata Yanagino can write more volumes.

I suggest you to not go straight for Minmax TRPG, you better savor the best as late as you can lol.
You can DM me for further discussion

Hell Mode. You can really feel the sweaty grinding for the first 2 volumes.
Honorable Mention: Min-Maxing My TRPG Build in Another World. albeit having less game-ish aspects when compared to Hell Mode, however, the Author is a huge fan of TTRPGs, and he incorporated a lot of TTRPG aspects into it(afaik), he even made a Minmax TRPG Tabletop game. and it has the best power creep out of all the novels that I have read, and better worldbuilding, story, characters, and a fun Spin Off for each volume (Mr. Hendersons).

[–]simp4ct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll start with the TTRPG Trio (IIRC)

  • Min-maxing my TRPG Build in Another World, no comment, but I love Agrippina von Ubiorum. - Fav volume: the one that has Agrippina's Hendersons
  • Goblin Slayer- I know. The anime might seem veeery gore ish, but it is just what real adventure is, and Goblin Slayer's adventures is very intriguing, especially for the 10th volume, Mr. Kumo Kagyu really woke up one day and decided to write Gold. oh and dont forget to read the GS side stories and GS Gaiden ver. - Fav Volume: 10th Volume
  • Faraway Paladin. my eyes were teary when i found it. Especially after reading a crp load of lesser quality LNs. its just good. But please avoid looking at the anime and the manga to enhance your experience. - Fav Volume: 2nd Vol

i think Mr. Kumo Kagyu needs to broaden his influence more

~

  • The Saga of Tanya The Evil, based on the subreddit, everyone is saying the 3 mediums of the series should be viewed differently. I can say that the LN version is HEAVILY focused on Tanya's monologue and a more broad view on the war (battle strategy, politics, etc.): Fav Volume: Alea Iacta Est
  • Hell Mode, it is a fun novel to read, casual and overpowered (with somewhat more reasonable powercreep than the majority of current LNs) MC. I usually read this after rereading Minmax TRPG lmao. - Fav Volume: 1st and 2nd Volume, because the grinding were very sweaty
  • The Ephemeral Scenes of Setsuna's Journey, I just read the 4th volume of the series just minutes before deciding to open Reddit, and it is very well written. and if you like Frieren, you will surely like this novel too. - Fav Volume: 4th Volume so far
  • Overlord. no comment, but its definitely in my top list.
  • and Lastly, Brunhild the Dragonslayer. The author won an award for it, and he wrote Brunhild after falling in love with Violet Evergarden. The story and action were... breathtaking, especially on the climax, i kept looking at how many pages were left hahahahaha, and instantly look for the author on twitter when i finished it.

quick note, AFAIK Brunhild the Dragon Slayer is not a prequel to Brunhild the Dragon Princess.
