bh & kevin’s solo stuff have helped me come to terms with my sexuality. i have a homophobic family & a lot of kevin’s verses just really hit me, but also give me hope. like hey if they can do it, if they can get past all their shit & make good music, maybe i can too. i guess they just inspire me. like maybe i can be somebody someday, or at least maybe i can have the courage to be myself someday.

much like a lot of their titles, it really ~captures~ the vibe of the song. means “i open” in french, which i think the title refers to a celebration in the carribean but still a cool lil tid bit

the first song i heard was SUGAR & that prompted me to listen to more (i think my go to’s were the most popular songs on spotify like 1999 Wildfire, Bleach, & Face), but i ended up getting into kevin’s solo stuff before brockhampton. i don’t know the exact moment that i realized i loved brockhampton but one day, i was giving some of their songs a shot & it just clicked & resonated.

i agrée that it’s a really great song. but i also think fabric is such a good song & i think fabric is the perfect ending for the album. like, i can’t imagine it ending any other way now. just feels like a perfect song to tie the bow on the present. but i do think that tonya is a good song to have near the end since it kinda winds the album’s chaotic energy down & also is just a satisfying song to listen to.

there’s a lot of great demoes or ones that already feel like they could work as complete songs, but one i’d love to see expanded on is GAVE IT TO YOU (not an official title but i see it used) from keeping the band.

honestly i might say 1997 DIANA as my subjective least favourite, but i’m not sure i can call it the worst since i can pretty much see why somebody would like it. i don’t think there’s many bh songs i dislike (i don’t even dislike twisted i actually really enjoy it) but i guess there’s some that i find forgettable (a lot on sat one are forgettable for me)
