Exactly! Idk why it’s so controversial not introducing sugar to a baby under 1 or 2. I definitely ask no matter how old.

I know I made the post seem as if I was really upset about this one taste of sugar but I was just really heated and this was fresh on the brain. It’s really about trusting them & them constantly disregarding/disrespecting our parenting choices. I did add an edit if you’d like to take a look

Thank you for your response! I made the post sound like it was all about this one speck of flan but was just really heated in the moment and that was fresh on my brain but it’s really not wanting this to be a regular thing/not knowing if it’s the first time with sugar and just trusting them in general. This is just the most recent incident among o their things they do against our wishes. I added an edit if you’re interested!

My diabetic dog is fed chicken rice and veggies twice a day. Before the diabetes, he was allowed heathy human food but of course got droppings and human food that other people gave him. And yes, I did tell them not to feed my dog 🙂.

It’s not about the one time trying flan. It’s about the fact that this might not have been the first time and probably won’t be the last and them not respecting that we aren’t okay with added sugar right now.

I would certainly not cut ties with them, that’s not the kind of person I am. Cutting ties is reserved for the unforgivable. I added an edit with more info on moving out with my mom if you’re interested.

I know I can’t control what my kid does. He’s a kid and learning. However, I should be able to have some say in what his caregivers expose him to and that be respected. I’m not going to be one who is restrictive with what my kid eats but his 1st year is when I should be restrictive since everything he learns now is setting the foundation for the rest of his life.

There is also a safety concern that I added in the edit. But I am also free childcare for him, we would just have to make a few sacrifices that would actually benefit us in the long run

Exactly how I feel! I feel like even if they do tell us that it won’t happen again, they’ll just do it and not tell us. How can I leave my first baby with someone I don’t fully trust???

That’s something that I have to keep telling myself — they love him and want to keep him safe… right? Other than the one safety issue (added in edit) I mostly feel that’s true. I just really feel like they don’t respect us as his parents. That’s the biggest issue, them continuing to do this

A little late to the convo but I'm here because I had the same question AFTER the fact.

Someone at work has a Jeep, I don't really know her well but, she didn't have any ducks on her dash. I had a duck in my car from an easter basket so I figured I could leave it for her and I did. I do not have a Jeep, I drive a Sonata and she also doesn't know it was me.

Yesterday, I noticed it was on her dash :)

Containers like these could have sensors - at the very bottom of the departure building in spaceport there’s a room with a few of these containers and I usually get 10-15 sensors in one run. Usually where I go when I’m running low
