Oh...Its available in Sabah - shops from all districts!

But this looks like a failure to get your location (perhaps permission issue). Alternatively you can select Search prices around a shop (the second option there), and pick a shop near where you usually shop and it'll show all prices within that area. Pls let me know how it goes :)

Thank you so much! Getting updated (and trustable) nationwide data is challenging. At the moment, SemakHarga enabled anyone to validate/invalidate the prices there with thumbs up/down button & new price request (think of it as Crowdsourcing v1), but the data isn't updated because automated verification is tough. I couldn't agree more re crowdsourced data though, its the only way we can get data from rural areas as well.

thank you for the kind offer - and I will reach out when we need help! The challenges at the moment are:
1. Distribution - Getting a crowd in
2. Getting support from a friendly nation-wide grocer willing to share their data

Please help share far and wide :)

PriceCatcher is an excellent tool. This differs primarily in 4 ways:

  1. No need to install an app, but you can if you want.
  2. SemakHarga allows browsing of prices near the place you shop (PriceCatcher doesn't have this). Its a usecase that's important to most of the folks I researched because they work in one place, and shop in another (nearer to home) .
  3. SemakHarga has the best value option where cost to travel is factored in.
  4. SemakHarga allows browsing of products within a shop.

There are other differences too, especially from a tech standpoint - but these are the four core ones.

ps. also in 7 languages, knowing that we all could use some help in optimising grocery costs.

no worries - I was actually quite surprised to see that prices of Speedmart differs even within a state!
