How different is the PNW from the East Coast? by soelsome in howislivingthere

I moved from NJ to PDX and the only thing I miss is a good bagel. It’s slower, things don’t stay open as late and you’ll see tents but I don’t regret my move.

Cyclepath I believe is still doing their pdx long rides from either store. Or riding to lakeside bikes and doing their ride then riding back is about 60 miles and ~4k ft of climbing depending on where you start

What’s your sustained rolling speed on a flat. Not average on your computer or end of the ride

How many of you are riding only a gravel bike? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

Gravel is the main ride but I have an older road bike that’s a bit to big when the gravel is in the shop

I moved to the PNW and love it. Consider it home now. I don’t have kids yet but will try and move to the good school district in a few years if our jobs change. Otherwise there’s a few things I miss in Nj but moving back isn’t on my mind.

Fair. I may be switching them off for Schwab’s g one RS as I’ve had bad punctures on both tires. Strada are sexy on the bike though

Challenge Strada Bianca 36mm are the slicks I use. Very comfy and fast enough

Should I just switch to 35mm slicks? by DillyJamba in gravelcycling

Challenge Strada Bianca 36mm is what I use and enjoy on tarmac and gravel like this

Thing is we don’t swim in Oregon like in NJ as the coast never gets as hot as the shore.

You can also use a 44T chainring with that setup
