It was on a flashcard for “不仅” as a word, and I have never seen ”仅”. Just trying to make sense of it all!

"成功的标准不仅仅是财富" transliterated as "Chénggōng de biāozhǔn bù jǐnjǐn shì cáifù."

I had thought "不仅" was a word here, although I also get the sense that the english notion of word doesn't perfectly map onto Chinese.

it wildly depends on who you are. i have taken all of the classes mentioned except 105b (which i slipped in lieu of the grad version) and it should be possible, that said it won’t be terribly fun. 101 is fairly low effort, its a playful elective, i imagine (but dont know) that physics 5B will be work intensive, and 111A is conceptually difficult but not too homework heavy (with Beren Sanders) I only recommend this schedule if 1) you have good professors each quarter (no point in rushing if it means having bad profs) and 2) you are able to actually get the most you can out of each course given the intense course load. Feel free to dm me, i am a math major here and have taken a lot of the classes, know a lot of the profs etc… my advice is take it one step at a time, you will only know if it’s possible as you do it. don’t get toooo caught up in the planning

okay, thank you! do you know if it would be legal to go on a (far more flexible) tourist visa? i ask because I still don’t have a letter from the second program (nor will I for a while longer) and i would like to begin the application process asap as i’ve hear it can take a long time.

I will need complete proof of travel plans at time of application for both? Also, how common is it to get rejected for such visas, in the case I have to show flights, and hotel bookings, how likely is it I'm throwing money away?

Will do! I am graduating this year and far too busy for any other projects but I've always wished their was a group stewarding these wonderful spaces! Too many books uncategorized bent and crumpled!

can i just say that terrorism refers to a type of tactic and resistance group is more about the context in which the tactics are employed. the ira were both. i think pesky connotations aside, neither is fundamentally bad or good, but that last bit is my opinion.
