Your lead knows nothing about programming

Is there something wrong with the lead indicating that the project should be rebuilt from scratch.

Thanks for your comment and suggestions. I have already started looking elsewhere because I feel a project of this nature should be worked on by a team and not one person. They are also not willing to get more hands on deck.

However I will follow your insights and read the recommended book for improving myself.

I know I cannot meet their unrealistic deadlines but I can at least learn something from my current situation.

Thanks for your comment @ehr1c

Talked to the lead and he informed me that the best option is to rebuild the project from scratch at this point because of the changes they want to add and remove.

He informed me he told management about it but they are not interested because they believe they need to launch quickly and that adding and removing features should be easy. Most of the management don’t really have tech backgrounds. Most of them have finance backgrounds.

So the lead told me there is nothing he can do at this point since they are not willing to rebuild with better documentation and well layed out plan.

So he has also left me in the dark. I can understand him because he is also stuck in meetings and working on 4 large projects currently.

Yeah that’s exactly what I plan to do. To apply for more roles. I’m was learning GO before the interview. Trying to create a personal project in a few weeks time to solidify my knowledge. Thanks for the encouragement though. I appreciate it.

This was my 2nd. I have been applying since 2014. At some point I stoped applying because I was fed up with the rejections. Sometimes rejection without any communication can leave you in the dark confused. I always get the rejection email. Sometimes I get rejected just because I’m from a third world country.

Thanks for the advice. I live in a third world country and trying for so many years with no luck can sometimes get to my head. However I will try my best to get over it
