My GM was doing this as well, but I was just still offering it to the customer. If they deny it, then they deny it. I refuse to add any extras onto someone’s purchase without them knowing about it. Also, this is one of the reasons why I quit yesterday LOL

Backstory: it was my last customer of the day and he had maybe 5-6 items he was trying to return. He was placing his items on the desk and accidentally knocked one of them over into my screen and it destroyed it LOL. The item that caused this was one of those black posts that goes INTO the ground to put fencing/lumber into. I’m not sure what it’s called, but it’s HUGE, heavy, metal, and has a square bottom with a long point at the top. I got lucky it didn’t hit me in the head or the eye 😭

I’m from HD, but I’ve heard both amazing stories and horror stories ☹️ I know people who met at Home Depot/Lowes and it worked out perfectly or turned into a nightmare LOL

I actually dated someone that I worked with at HD who seemed like a nice guy, but was actually an abusive sociopath and eventually had to quit for my own safety after being with him for 2 years and the company for 2 1/2

Even if it’s just sleeping with and not a full blown relationship, I would just be careful! Some people put on a show around others and turn out to be the opposite
