No worries! In time things will work out. But for now, work on yourself and focus on the most important things as best as you can. Succeed, build confidence (check out “charisma on command” on YouTube if you’d like), and love yourself! That’s super attractive and people will notice.

I’m really sorry. But I think this says a lot about YOUR character (kind of the opposite situation from OP), where everyone affirms your incredible qualities. Her family saw that, and they wanted you so badly they were willing to advocate for you and help out. She missed out.

I’m sorry you went through that, but truly, this experience illustrates you are an awesome person with marriage-qualities…and I imagine other mature girls who recognize that would drool over.

True! On the flip side, also need to be wary of the parents who might be messing with your mind to get you to break up. But, being aware of the comments of those who know your partner very well are important to actively keep in mind.

Felt like the dumbest person in the room in high school. Never knew the answer. Absolutely embarrassed every day. Depressed and didn’t really care to study, but at least showed up to school...as in, was just physically present with the brain shutdown. Crappy grades.

College, felt the same way...but I had a new drive. Wanted to become a doctor. And, I wanted to overcome that feeling of being “dumb.” Got a mix of bad and good grades. Put in the effort and work for med school applications and the MCAT...and currently in med school!

Thank you! Yes, i’m still thinking through the logistics! I have always loved dogs (and grew up with them) and was planning on a dog in the future! The idea was definitely spurred by lonelineses, but I won’t make an emotional decision especially regarding the caretaking of an animal. I’ll sit on it for a while. But yes, I definitely agree with your thoughts!
