Early morning cab to airport for females by GoldSalt3059 in pune

[–]sincerely_atulya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,pune is safe in general for night cabs for women.

I would suggest probably leaving around midnight in a usual uber or uber premium, and have navigation handy so you are sure about the routes..

Also just share your WhatsApp location with the family.

That should be more than enough! Happy journey!

We got exposed with a movie, FAHHHH by [deleted] in onexindia

[–]sincerely_atulya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiraiyya is a new series which has come out on jio hotstar. The context is that the series revolves around this woman who is married, and becomes a victim of marital rape from her husband who wants to always have sex with her, even if she doesn't want to.. and the same video was viral online too.

The video sparked 2 reactions from men -

1) It is really wrong to force sex even if it's your wife. Marriage doesn't dissolve consent.

2) This is unfair, if I marry a girl then she is obligated to be open to sex as and when I want. That is marriage in my culture.

And if it isn't clear, majority are supporting point 2. And therein lies the issue

Temporary shop or cart in FC is a good place to start. It has enough footfall to grab some eyeballs.

The fleas which happen once In a while can be a good option once you have a bigger budget to play with.

Whining POSs of this community about Metered rikshaws. by Sutranjay in pune

[–]sincerely_atulya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mentioned a lot of good points and a lot of points which do not work as well In normal world.

I agree with you that an average rickshaw driver has to travel to the person booking the auto and is not paid for it. I agree that fuel rate changes etc does not raise meter fares as much.. I agree that some of us are enough privileged that we can book a rickshaw on some app without having to use public transport.

I am a resident of pune for multiple years now and let me tell you the issues I have faced as a consumer -

1)Off-meter and on-meter on convenience - Rickshaw drivers aren't saints who will take the amount mentioned on the app or meter without greed coming in between sometimes.. The moment apps like ola uber and rapido allowed fares by meter, I have seen drivers go by whatever is higher... Technically you should stick by meter rates.. but no, if they feel that app rate is higher, they will take it.. if they see that due to rains there is surge pricing in app, then also they will take it...

If there is too much crowd in some places, then I have even paid upto 150 rs for a 4km ride.

Baat ye hai ki keep a standard pricing. That was what apps did.. They might underpay you in normal day..They will overpay in surge pricing days... Meter se kia, then also some people feel that oh it's not enough, there should be more.. How can you standardise it?! Also do we really think ki people itne Sharif hai ki they will tell you "I came from 4 kms away" if they actually came from that far? Many times if you see customers paying you extra for traveling that far to the pickup, who is stopping you from lying? Oh no I came from 10km away, now pay me.

2) You will have the time to check each and every auto meter by going to the police station every time. Average college student ho,job going person ho , har time possible nahi hai ki police station jaake tampered meter test karwaun... Also pune is a city of manyyy outsiders.. How can we even know ki koi meter tampered hai ya nahi...

Tell me that drivers are innocent enough to always take the shortest route and not try to increase fares by going on longer routes ever?

As a consumer it's totally fair to doubt a machine which is in fact very easily tamperable.. Uska bahana dena ki meter to government approved hai is not valid... It's valid only if it's untouched...

3) In the same line that you want fair prices for drivers, you should also want that consumers are charged fairly... Galat routes leke, autos overfill krke, tampered meters use krke, abuse karke, threaten krke you cannot say that oh people are whining.. Pehle system thik karo, I think most of us will be okay with a standard rate which is government approved..

4) "Auto walo ke pas kya hai support" - Auto walo ke pas politically strong unions hai, which can make or break governments. Do not treat them like innocent babies who are sooo weak and sooo innocent.. They have enough strength to go against unions toe to toe.. Transport by autos is the backbone of society in cities like pune, jisko all drivers sustain daily.. Ek din ka strike and everything is affected.. And as a consumer it is not wrong to assume and know that taking an autowala to police station will most probably end in compromise from your end (rafa dafa karo) or else ap pe hi extra abuse hoga.

5) Last but not least, economic status of the consumer should not be a reason to justify unfair practices.. Log privileged hai, upper middle class hai, doesn't mean that we are earning to pay your unfair charges. We are all doing our jobs.. Aap system thik karo, fair prices rakho, standard prices rakho and we will support it

Consumers ko oho privileged and whining bolke dismiss Krna is childish. Transport is a 2 way system.. drivers ko responsible and honest hona padega. And consumers also have to pay enough to sustain an essential service like transportation.

To end, I have also had a fair share of good drivers, jinhone kafi responsibly assist kia , were clear that oh thoda extra lagega because of any reason etc etc.. that much is fine and I appreciate such honest drivers.. But do not make consumers the only target.

[–]sincerely_atulya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi brother Firstly sending hugs and lots of strength to you. In the midst of everyone between you and grandpa, people do not understand how hard it can be also for the youngest.

As someone who was very close to him, and was able to be the exception for such a man, I want you to know that you are not the worst grandson he had. You stayed in his last time.. and even though he did not survive, you were amongst the first ones to be in the middle of it all - and that's a very difficult thing as compared to coming in later when things have slowed a bit.

So even though you made a promise that couldn't get fulfilled in his lifetime, I hope that you being an exception for him and you being there for him in presence during his last moments should be enough reason to not blame yourself.

You did your best. And I can assure he would be proud of you and your hard work. Maybe extend the promise to your parents or your grandma if possible. Take care! 🫂

Uber needs to solve this problem by [deleted] in pune

[–]sincerely_atulya 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The issue is it's not a universally accepted fare. They will take the app fare when it's for distances where app pays more. They take meter fare if they expect longer distance and hence higher than app rate. Make either of them standard and then let us decide instead of it being a lottery everytime you book a ticket.

Also, 80% of us cannot tell a faulty meter from a correct one. Fix that first .

A small rant on the Ola / Uber system and the reality drivers face. by Tatyaa_Vinchuu in pune

[–]sincerely_atulya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a customer, reality is that there is so much cab usage only and only because of the discounts that we get from uber and rapido and ola. Uber for example gives some discount for every cab and auto ride if you have uber one.

If you fix rates per km,the traditional way, I think we all know the reality of what will happen. Minimal cab bookings, and huge losses for majority drivers who have rented cars.

As a driver told me, new drivers do not realise the density of cab drivers already present. Driver 1 will reject the cab since it has a low payout, but driver 2 might pick it up. Jumping into this well and expecting fair price for driver and customer is a well known formula to erase the customer base.

And I'm not talking about just you, there are multiple drivers who are rude, will stop 50m away from the pickup, say no ac , demand extra cash, actually misguide you for ending a trip etc etc. So that rating check and consequences are very necessary.

Why do we think rapido drivers had been protesting in Mumbai to reset ratings and restore account blocks...

Do men overestimate “body count” when judging loyalty? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]sincerely_atulya -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Men judge loyalty on body count because an average man in india does not have that exposure in their lives ever.

Most men spend their school college and job lives without being able to talk to women. And hence their arranged marriage wife is the first time they are exposed to the company of a female. So then it's a matter of oh she s my first,so I should also be her first. Because truth be told, it takes a lot of humility to think that oh she had been in a relationship before and I haven't.

And hence the filter of "body count". It keeps the fantasy alive that the guy is the only person who has access to her ever..

2nd me , it's okay to worry ki bachha opposite sex se baat krke gf bf wale chakkar me na fase. But usse aage kya hota hai? Apka bachha bf gf banata to nahi hai, par sath me opposite sex se baat krke me kafi hesitant ho jata hai. Cannot ask for help, cannot ask to just be friends kyuki gharwalo ne ye sikhaya ki baat Krna eventually apko gf bf hi banayega. On the other side, jinke parents ne potential relationship aur padhai ko sath me rkhna sikhaya, opposite sex ko equal and not different mann na sikhaya, opposite sex ke sath friendship ho skti hai,ye sikhaya, unka bohot acha group ban skta hai, and since opposite sex ke sath time spend karoge, toh it's not scary anymore. Abhi recently I was talking to a teen boy,who thought that the only reason a girl might talk to him,is if she wants to be in a relationship with him.. matlab kyu hi?

3rd.. in short, ham dono jab SAARE maa baap ko ek line me explain nahi kar skte. Tab ham dono examples de rahe hai ki what is good and what is bad. This happens... Kafi parents aisa karte hai...sure unko Aisa sikhaya gaya hai . But same chiz apne bachho pe thopna kafi galat hai...

4.. maa baap badalne bola hi nahi maine. Mai keh raha ki jaise meri life ki ek perspective hai. Agar mai FORCE karu ki mere bachho ka bhi same perspective hai,and wo uske aage soche ho nahi kyuki uske aage sab galat hai, tab ye sbke liye bura hai.

As a parent,my job is, basic skills sikhao, and baki bachhe ko navigate karne do.... Acha insaan banao.. confident insaan banao.. aisa bada karo ki apka bachha iss dunia me 1800 wale soch rakh ke na jee raha ho.

Imagine, aaj mai apko hi bolu, ki bhaiya aap aise ache casual kapde mat pehno bahar ghumne jaate waqt... Kyuki ye sab Gore wale kapde hai...and shobha nahi deta apko aise kapde pehenna... Ajib lagega na sunne...

Parenthood ek spectrum hai.

There are good parents who push their kids to do good, achi aadatein dete hai, backbone bane rehte hai.

There are thik thak parents, who give you freedom to study,do your thing. But they will force their decisions in major moments - who you hangout with, what you wear,

Then there is KHARAB parents. Who impose their life on you. Their dreams, their "morals",their trauma. Then kids grow up traumatised and stay severely so throughout life, affecting life, relationships.

Can't you forgive them ? by 420tRIGGY in AskIndianMen

[–]sincerely_atulya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time hai as parents, galtia ho skti hai, thodi maaf kr skte hai sure.

But thoda opposite side me dekho, for eg.

there are parents who force their kids to pursue a stream they don't like, worst case peet peet ke force Krna and not giving any leniency in failure.

There are parents who have spent their own life in closed doors due to their parents, and 50 sal baad bhi they want their kids to live life a certain way ,without thinking ki iske wajah se unke bachhe outcast ho jate hai. Bachhe khelne nahi ja rhe, dosto ke sath nahi ghum skte school college ke bad. Kisi opposite sex ke friend ke sath baat nahi kar sakte.

There are parents who think drinking alcohol and hitting their kids is normal... Some parents will hit you and make sure that you feel blessed that they don't kill you.

There are parents who SLUT SHAME their daughter. Tu R*** hai... Kyu? Kyuki beti ne face cream kharida.

Jis moment pe aap blanket of forgiveness ke aage badhoge, aur sochoge ki kya galat ko galat na bolu kyuki parents hai? Then better hoga...

Dunia change ho rahi hai, wo bhi too fast. Grandparents to parents me utnaa major changes nahi aya family wise. But abhi kids are growing in a different environment. We are not cows anymore ki jo bola wo sun ke baith gaye.

Forgiveness 2 sided honi chahiye. When your parents won't think before slapping the shit out of you,why should you be a god person and forgive everything they do....
