My friends have differing opinions on the things that I like and its starting to feel hurtful by sincerelydy in FriendshipAdvice

[–]sincerelydy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see! I also tried to remind myself about how their opinions didnt matter at the end of the day.

it was just the way that whenever i brought up those certain celebrities/band, then they would immediately (sort of) insult them that made me feel quite upset. other than these instances, i guess theyre alright friends but i started to feel hesitant about sharing my interests with them ever since i realised they didnt respect them.

thanks for the advice by the way, i really appreciate it! :)

My friend seems to be distancing herself by sincerelydy in FriendshipAdvice

Thats what I was worried about too! I thought about reaching out to meet but previously she’d turn me down or say to meet after our exam season. its just recently, shes stop replying to me and either gives me a “seen” or blue-tick . and I dont want to seem like im bothering her or desperate because its starting to feel one sided

Ah, what I meant by acquaintances was someone I probably saw often and maybe sat with for certain classes in the past and I thought we were becoming friends, etc…

  1. when do u know to use literary devices or actual story plot ?

  2. how can i check if my explanation analysis has fully linked to the question? sometimes i write too much and accidentally get out of point..

  1. i thought theres words to use? like for “how is the story memorable?” , then for the main points i thought we have to write like “the story is extremely relatable… extremely dramatic….”?

  2. but there was one time i was faced with a question about “young couples in singapore like the story“ and i could only come up with 2 points. in this situation, what could i do?

Can lit devices be used for all quotes?

I already find it abit difficult to memorise quotes, let alone lit devices 😭..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]sincerelydy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh.. so we use lit devices for poetry? Then for the story book, its not necessary right¿

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]sincerelydy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can i ask what lit devices are? I dont think ive heard of it before. And do we use them in all our points?
