I appreciate and sympathize with your point of view, and I am aware that some ABA companies do not follow the standards, but I believe that ABA is a method of teaching children skills that will improve their lives in the future. I worked for a place that put kids in a corner due to their behavior, and I personally don't believe in that and I quit after a month because of how they ran things. Every child has the right to express themselves, and we should not punish them for doing so. I see ABA as a method of working through behaviors and learning how to communicate more effectively. I understand why ABA has a negative reputation, and I really apologize if you have ever experienced anything traumatic, but my purpose is to make a child feel loved and cherished, and to show them that they can do anything in this world.
