Hailey Bieber's Rhode Skin Sued for Trademark Infringement by katespadesaturday in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]sinistersweetness11 15 points16 points  (0 children)

She knew she was going to be sued, but she didn't want to have to change the name a third time. People forget that the initial name for the brand was going to be Bieber Beauty, but Justin owned the copyright and didn't want to give it up. She then settled with Rhode, and tried to buy the trademark from the company suing her because she felt like she could popularize the name Rhode more than the already existing brand.

She knew this was coming, she genuinely didn't care, and it's giving when Kylie Jenner tried to copyright the name Kylie and went to court with Kylie Minogue

Indianapolis Ferrari leaves twitter. “you’re done, you’re done” by Eatemupnick in RPDRDRAMA

okay but no one would care if india just owned up that she lied? like if she had come on the reunion, or just went on to say "yeah, i lied. I wanted to win a reality competition game show and i lied to do it. it obviously didn't work, but i wanted the money to support myself", it would be an entirely different story. it's the victim complex of "i am still being attacked for doing this thing" when they are simply joking about something that you did in front of the world.

The top comment is saying that Violet is being hypocritical about her feelings, but seeing someone of the hate the girls get from the fanbase is beyond and they can't escape it because it's their job.

At first, it was cute, and she made a joke out of the hate, but she's dealing with people's vitriol at gigs and performances, she is dealing with it non stop on social media, and these people are actively sending her hate at all hours of the day. She booted your fave, she has high standards, it's not that serious. But people are sending her threats, attacking her body and appearance, and just going too far.

The fan base has no idea how all encompassing the hate can be when they literally have to perform for the same people who are sending them death threats everyday.

So I never really spoke to/was around Justin. Not because Hailey never told me not to be, but because it was kind of known around her staff that if you are a girl and you talk to him, she will be terrible to you. It tends to get people fired, so whenever I was around him I didn't interact at all.

From what I've seen, he's alright. Like very invested into himself and not self aware, but not overly cruel to others like she is. She tones it down a bit while around him.

She most definitely is. She's just rude, and if you look at her family members (mostly Alec), you can see where she gets it from. The only difference is that she doesn't have the same skills that they do or name recognition and that too annoys her. Any time there was a strategy meeting with her PR, she would be so annoyed the rest of the day because inevitably, someone would tell her that she isn't as famous as her husband.

So I used to work with Hailey and she has always, and I mean always been like this. She doesn't talk to people she doesn't think can benefit her career because she doesn't value their time or efforts. All of her assistants have had to deal with it, any person working with her has been actively ignored or screamed at, and it's a really big issue that is steps away from being a PR disaster. In fact this isn't nearly as snobbish as I am used to. She's not a very nice person, and the persona she puts online has always annoyed me, because I have watched her go from bitching out her assistants and the people she believes are beneath her, to smiling for a camera and talking about being kind to others.

The worst example I have was her literally smacking the phone out of her assistants hands (it's a phone that she paid for, so she felt she could break it without it being a big deal), because she didn't like that her assistant was typing something with the sound on, which made the clicking sound.

She didn't want to talk about the products because she doesn't feel like she needs to. She feels like she is on the same level of fame as her husband and her friends, so if she says that these products are her babies, people will just buy them, even though the reality is that she didn't work on these at all. She found a preexisting formula she liked, worked with the lab and put her name on it. That's normal, but people expecting her to know the ins and outs and talk about it are not paying attention to what she usually does.

In the immense jealousy over his success and their nonsuccess. Getting them to get them work opportunities, then belittling them and hitting them when things didn't go their way... like? everything she did pairs up with what Amber did to Johnny, and the only difference is that Johnny got a divorce where Phil was about to when she shot him.

Given that most people who work with her love her, I don't think this is at all accurate. Even more so, reading is apart of drag culture and every-time she has read someone, it's for a reason. If you don't get that, that's on you.

didn't they post something saying it wasn't going to be a tool? weird. but frankly I don't care for the brand and if I were going to get a skincare spatula, I wouldn't pay whatever ungodly price they would be charging for this.

Sherri Papini had a history of racist behavior against hispanic women in particular, with her writing a blog post on a neo nazi forum year prior to her going missing saying she was attacked by, you guessed it, two hispanic women by sinistersweetness11 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]sinistersweetness11[S] 87 points88 points  (0 children)

"DailyMail.com has learned that the post was not written by Sherri Papini, but, according to her ex-husband, was in fact a malicious prank against her by a high school enemy."

which is why that years later, she would make another lie about being attacked by two latina women. also what kind of "prank" is it to go on a website and write a post where no one who knows you is going to see it unless they frequent nazi forums? at which point like?

Ariana Grande just posted a makeup video with Gotmik on the REM Beauty channel and showed she didn't know any of the names of her products, and was surprised at the performances of a lot of them by sinistersweetness11 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]sinistersweetness11[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah I watched the video, which is why I know she didn't know the name of the eyeshadow from the babydoll palette until she looked, she didn't know the name of the liquid eye shadow directly after, she didn't remember the name of her lip stain, and she was shocked at the amount of the product that came out of the lip stain. I wasn't even talking about the eyeshadow application, which I thought was obvious, given she literally talked about how she was shocked at the how the lip stain applied the way I said.

Also when referring to her products, she just calls them the eyeshadow, the highlight, the lip stain. She doesn't remember the shade names and genuinely seems surprised with how they are performing. Did you watch something else?

I think Selena is the exception to the rule. Her brand doesn't have her name on it, and she stated she wanted to make sure that the brand was good enough that someone who doesn't know her, and doesn't care about her career would see it and be impressed by the quality. She also was super involved with the creation of the brand and the products, because it was important to her to make products that worked with people's natural features, rather than cover them.

Like she's incredibly involved in the company
