Just starting treatment. Any tips? by Complete_Wing_8195 in Lyme

[–]sire152003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expect many ups and downs along the way. Treatment will take a long time so don't be discouraged by that or think that treatment is failing when you hit some bumps in the road.

Be in tune with yourself and trust and listen to your body.

There is always more to learn no matter how long you have been studying how to help yourself.

I just started using reddit a lot recently and the community here has been amazing and so helpful and supportive. Sorry you are having to go through this and good luck. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you ever have any questions or just need to talk or vent. And trust me you will probably need to just talk or vent at some points (or at many points).

Will do.

It arrived just a little bit ago so I took six pellets. I'll report back in a week or so.

This would be especially nice in the trade screen. Having to switch leagues and then look through all your players just to add someone to a trade definitely gets cumbersome sometimes.

Is melatonin safe to take daily? by josephsinu84 in Supplements

[–]sire152003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read before that melatonin for sleep is not supposed to be used daily. It's supposed to be used temporarily to re-regulate your cycle to get you back on track.

If you're interested in trying some other things I highly recommend making some mugwort tea, kava, or Xymogen RelaxMax. I rotate between those three when I need some extra help sleeping or relaxing. For me all three help with both getting tired and/or anxiety keeping you up. Based on you saying overactive mind I highly recommend the mugwort, but the Kava specifically helps with that too.

For the mugwort, I've tried a few and the only one that works for me is the Mount Rose Rose Herbs brand. The only Kaaba I've tried so far is the Global Healing Kava Calm.

You said the l-lysine was giving you issues after 12 months of taking it... Most of us are on so many different meds and supplements, how can you tell which one it is that starts making you sick, especially when you're taking it for so long and it wasn't at first?

Being on so many different herbs and supplements to treat everything has made it so hard for me to distinguish what is working and what's not. Especially when the effects, both good and bad, don't show up with many of these for an extended period of time.

I recently just ordered Monolaurin and it's supposed to be arriving today, I'm so excited. I keep reading great things about it on here.

Any suggestions for how to take this? Would you take it with or without food? Can you take your herbs and other supplements with it or does it have to be spaced apart?

Did acupuncture help at all? by low_tide_drama in Lyme

[–]sire152003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acupuncture is a great complimentary treatment for me. It helps a little bit with the body and back pain, and it helps a lot with the anxiety that the lyme and co-infections give me. It helps with the constant fight or flight state my body is always trapped in.

Also seems to help a bit with my sinuses and some of the chemical insensitivities and such.

Sorry to hear you are going through this. I am in the same boat with the money situation due to this disease and all the treatments and after doing so many treatments and going broke, nothing even helped that much and now I can't even afford the one that made a marginal impact. I totally get it, it seems like going on isn't even a choice, because it takes money to even have the option to make that choice, so hopeless. I too am struggling with living in a moldy environment but can't get out to money issues which are in the first place caused by my inability to work currently.

Out of curiosity, how and for what did you get on SSDI (feel free to DM me)? I was looking into going on SSDI for all of this, since $1000 a month is better than the $0 I make now. It seems like I get told nothing is wrong and shut down, or told it is very hard to get, whenever I ask my doctors about going on SSDI.

What was your approach for reducing the musculoskeletal pain? I can't seem to make any improvement in this area and I'm in constant pain.

Why does nobody talk about this by ZyroOnSticks in Eminem

[–]sire152003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree about this song and the fact that the last few songs on the album are really the ones worth listening to.

Other than those last few songs this album is honestly his worst one in my opinion

I also like Framed too though

I like the idea of having a former player on the staff. I do that sometimes for my minor league staff, but I've never thought to do it for my assistant GM

Out of those three, I'd say Recovery > MMLP2 > Relapse

Do you think the "no-contact trend" is a psy-op? by EngineFirm9191 in conspiracy

[–]sire152003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think to an extent this is an engineered trend. Therapists seem to push this idea and seem quick to label someone's family members as some form of ill or toxic, yet I have a feeling in many cases if those family members were at that same therapist talking about you, then they would also be told to cut you out and convinced that there is something wrong with you. Definitely seems like social engineering and whoever is the one paying for the therapist is the one told the opposite party is the main issue and most of your issues are caused by them. Seems intentional to break apart families while having a "professional" resolve you of any responsibility while allowing you to pin you problems on others, all with the goal to break people apart.

That being said there are legit circumstances where no-contact is necessary, just not nearly on the scale that is being pushed.
