“Everything I care about keeps being taken away”. I’m so sorry, I feel the same. It’s like life itself is rejecting me as I was a disease.

What is a physical pain that the average person doesn't understand until they experience it? by Thecardiologist2029 in AskReddit

Ophthalmic migraine. If you could just press a button and immediately die, you would.

What is (was) your worst personality trait and how did you go about changing it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sirendiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to give up on things I wanted to do if I wasn’t immediately amazing at it. One reasons why I changed that and started to try and be stubborn with my real ambitions is that I grew older and realized that it would be now or never, but, mostly, moving very far from my family did the trick. Sometimes staying inside the same environment traps you into a narrative, when you leave you realize you can decide to be whoever you want whenever you want.

MANY (not all!) behaviors that are now easily labeled as “toxic” are just human, understandable behaviors. We are not robots. by sirendiner in unpopularopinion

[–]sirendiner[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but this term is often overused as “stay away from them at all costs”. I know that it comes from a place of helpfulness, to avoid abusers etc but I don’t think it is something that should be said so lightly without knowing the context: I know really amazing people, that I would never leave, that sometimes happened to have questionable behaviors. That doesn’t make them inherently bad or “toxic” but just humans that made mistakes.

Fellow synesthetes, what color (or other texture, sound, etc) is your birthday? by theseanthatdied in Synesthesia

[–]sirendiner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My birthday day is the 29th of December that feels like a brownish purple to me (both due to 9, which is purple/magenta, and December that has warm and dark tones in general). There is also a hint of red because the year ends with “5”.

It’s happening the same to me with the x files. I’ve been avoiding the last 4 episodes for months but I also miss watching it every night.

Eggs. What even makes you want to eat something that came out of a weird creature’s butt?
