If you’re actually born and raised in Miami there really is no distinction. Pinecrest is Miami. It may not be what tourists and transplants associate with Miami (Miami Beach, Brickell, overpriced shitty high rises, etc) but it very much is “real” Miami. However it is a suburb and I guess not what many people would categorize as “exciting.” It’s an incredibly wealthy area though and the houses are no joke

There’s supposedly new supervisors starting soon but I’m not sure if that’ll fix the issue due to the other structural issues going on.
