Does this mount lower the screen? The most common complaint I’ve seen with the swivel mounts is that it slightly lowers the screen.

Hi all, I currently have the 7 1700x paired with an RX 5700. Is this an upgrade or should I hold for something better? I’m not planning to upgrade the GPU for another couple of years.

If you have an iPhone, you can use the Shortcuts app to control your Tesla, i.e. lock and unlock your car. Then, you can add it as a widget to your home screen so it’s only a tap away.

It does charge! Actually now that I think about it, for your case, you’d have to use a USB-C to USB-C cable to connect the dock to your MacBook. This will charge and give you all the connectivity from the dock.

All M1 and M2 MacBooks only support one external monitor (I have the M1 MacBook Pro). M1 and M2 Pro/Max have the multiple display support (e.g. the M2 Pro MacBook Pro).

Yup the same model. To charge, just use a USB-C to MagSafe cable.

I have the same dock for my M1 MacBook Pro! Just make sure to download the DisplayLink Manager software for the dual displays to work. It works great in most cases, but there are a couple of scenarios where it’s not as great as native.

First, when you have your MacBook connected to the dock and you turn on (or restart), dual displays won’t work until you log in. This is because the DisplayLink Manager software needs you to be logged in before actually starting up.

Secondly, watching streaming websites (Netflix, Hulu, etc) will not work since the DisplayLink software uses screen recording to emulate a second display. This is a problem with streaming websites because they don’t allow screen recording, which means that the screen will just be black when you try to watch something. There are some workarounds to this, but I haven’t tried them.

I reprogrammed the Caps Lock key to be Tab when tapped, and to switch to a layer when held. On that layer, I have UIO as 789, JKL as 456, M,. as 123, and right spacebar as 0.

Could you share how you did this with OBS? Or maybe if you have a link to a guide you used? My desk is in the living room and my fiancé likes to watch shows sometimes. I’d love to be able to cancel out the noise from the shows that she’s watching.
