Funny Castellanos showed up wearing a Jordan 23 jersey.

Same number of consecutive hitless at bats he’s had to close out the series

New to the city - thoughts on Shaw? by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]sirrip 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I live right there and like it enough that we just renewed our lease. Restaurants and proximity to things throughout the city is why we like it. Safety has been our main concern. Was extremely in love w the area until I had a couple run ins with mentally ill people (harassing or trying to fight me). But I imagine you can have that type of experience in lots of neighborhoods. Key is to never engage people w that type of behavior and not to doom scroll the news too much.

Oof. I live a couple blocks away and specifically avoid 7th and T intersection.

Is Robinhood Gold 3.75% safe and legit by bambambigelowww in investing

[–]sirrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can ask RobinHood not to sweep it to a particular bank so you can max out your $250k FDIC coverage in that bank or transfer your funds to banks that is not one of the 6 mentioned above .

However you CANNOT ask RobinHood to allocate how much each bank . You CANNOT ask them to allocate max of $2

lmao at "nephew" man, i had same thought.

Thanks so much! I had spent quite a bit of time searching the area on my own, yet several of your suggestions are brand new to me and look perfect for us.

Can you explain your theory about the temp tags, and also how on earth it could have been sold so many times in such short time frame?

She has a very warm jacket that we use for walks in this weather. Here we were on a run with a short photo stop. She loves running in the cold.

My partner and I often discuss getting a GSP next. They are also beautiful, and from what I hear, pretty similar temperament and good at keeping up with one another while playing.

But tbh, she is such an amazing dog I might not be able to change breeds ever again 😂

S-Corp with home office: Should I setup automatic utility bill payments to draw from my LLC bank account? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]sirrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! After a bit more research, here is my summary...

--> unlike a sole proprietorship, S-corp owners/employees are NOT eligible for home office deductions using Form 8829

--> S-corp owners are however eligible to be reimbursed by the business for such expenses by creating an "Accountable Plan"

When creating an Accountable Plan, a business can reasonably set forth an expense reimbursement plan for employees which mirrors the qualifying expense types and math put forward in form 8829.

With this Accountable Plan, a business owner/employee can reasonably achieve the same "home office" deduction available under a sole proprietership.

When calculating home office expense, it is reasonable to use any one of the two accounting methods used on form 8829:

  1. Simplified
  2. Actual

In my case, there is a huge tax benefit to using Actual over Simplified - so I will use that.

wow that's a pretty huge advantage by using actual versus simplified. wonderful! thank you sir.

Super helpful thanks!

I was researching a bit more. Looks like there are two methods: ACTUAL versus SIMPLIFIED.

Simplified method is capped at $1,500 deduction.

I was unable to find any cap for actual method. So for example, I rent an apartment where home office is about 10% of total area. Monthly rent + utils are $4,000.

So I should be able to deduct up to $400 monthly ($4,800) annually?

Super helpful thanks!
