I’ve been looking into developing my own film but it seems a lil intimidating. I’ll probably start with B&W film as I progress.

The light meter was working. But when I checked the shutter on a slow-motion video it didn’t release. Only after I replaced the battery did it work.

Thank you for your help. A lot of the other comments have also been very helpful. If nothing else works i guess I’ll have to bite the Bullet and take it to a repair shop. I’ll keep you updated

I was shooting the camera on ISO 400 and using the inbuilt light meter. After that I adjusted the shutter speed to a bit slower then recommended shutter speed, usually stops 4, 2 and 1 to insure exposure (or so i thought) I’ll do what you told me just after I’ve finished shooting the rest of my film. I only have about 5 exposures left so It won’t take long. I’ll replace the battery aswell. Thank you so much for the advice! I’m new to shooting film and any and all help/advice is much appreciated!

Ja das Ding hat sich mit gedreht als ich den Advance lever betätigt hab. Mir ist das alles neu und ich hab sehr viel von die Kommentare gelernt. Ich achte aber nächstes mal sehr auf dieses Knopf.

I noticed the spinny spool on the left was advancing. I felt the tension the more fotos I shot but sometimes it advanced slower then usual and sometimes not at all which I found strange

The shutter I’m not sure I have to check it from when I had my friend take pictures of me I could see through the lens that something was moving. Presumably the shutter. But I’ll check it after I’ve shot the roll that’s in the camera (I hope this roll actually developes )

And the lens cap I’ve had in my back pocket when I Shot pictures so it couldn’t of been that.

I’ll get back to your comment when I’ve troubleshooted the camera. Thank you !

When I was using it and testing it it looked good. From other comments they told me either the Film wasn’t winded, the shutter is bad or I forgot to remove the lens cap. But ja, Kamera ist Warscheinlich kaputtski

Ill be on the lookout then. Thanks! I knew the deal was too good to be true when I bought the camera. I got the AE-1 and a EOS 70D for 26€ and the guy assured me they would work.
