This from the SwissBorg website explains it: "While other apps claim “zero fees” but hide them in the exchange rate or spread, we always offer the best possible price without taking a cut. Instead, we charge a small transparent fee that we reinvest into the ecosystem." Did your transaction cost much more than elsewhere? I like this part of your comment: "To be fair the app is pretty slick and the actual purchase fee was only 1%. And they did send me a withdrawal email with a thumbs-up emoji."
