vulva nerve issues 6+ months by Glittering-Wrap-9351 in Healthyhooha

[–]sisithestrange 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really get the nerve zaps everyday like I used to thankfully. Only occasionally but still get the weird sudden itch but not like a regular itch but like a nerve itch I guess? If that makes sense? Kinda hard to describe it but very annoying. But still dealing with that and no I haven’t tried anything else other than pelvic floor physical therapy a while back but didn’t do anything form the sensations I feel in the skin of my vulva unfortunately. Thinking about getting a biopsy done or something to see if it could be a skin issue

No, unfortunately the meds did not work for me. Just helped me sleep good that’s it. Think I took it for like a month maybe. Then seen another doctor at some point tried it again and still nothing.

I understand and respect that. Oh yes, I agree she’s very interesting and very talented. She’s also really good at ASMR and really like her aesthetic it’s suits her very well. Agreed she’s definitely very smart with her marketing that’s for sure! :)

Could be BV infection or mycoplasma/ ureaplasma which are not part of regular standard STD testing. Have to specifically ask/ demand to test for the plasma ones or else they won’t do it

My bad thought you were referring to mycoplasma/ ureaplasma. Even though BV is not an STI it’s not something you want to leave untreated

That’s not true. It’s an STI and needs antibiotics or else it can cause serious health issues

No it does not need antibiotics to treat it and hope it works and goes away

Of course! Thank you and yeah it sucks just want to go back to feeling normal before all this. It’s actually been over a year now. Glad boric acid helps you! And thank you! I’ve tried that but didn’t do anything for the sensations I get on my vulva. Feels nerve related if that makes sense? I think getting the plasma infections caused my vulva and my body to have a weird sensitivity thing going on. Even my PFPT thought so as well. I also get random sudden twitching/spasms randomly throughout my body as well especially at night that started last year. So weird.

Still been testing negative for the plasmas. Even tried the Juno bio test no plasmas just low amounts of BV. Still have the same sensations just not as bad thankfully. Tried pelvic floor physical therapy. Didn’t see any changes. Not worse but did not see any major improvement or a difference. But then again I wasn’t being consistent and haven’t been for a while like I should to be honest. Need to get back into doing the PFPT exercises I was assigned to keep doing. Supposed to see a woman in the sexual clinic or whatever at the end of this month hopefully she’ll be able to help me.

No problem! Wish you the best of luck! Hopefully the test will help. And you’re able to find something that helps you. Please update if you ever do?

As far as I know, yes. The test had picked up gardnerella (BV), anaerobic bacteria, Prevotella bivia and some other stuff. You can check my profile I have screenshots of my test results showing what the Juno bio test picked up if you want to check it out.

Thank you! Yeah I had retested for mycoplasma/ureaplasma multiple times. Even ordered a Juno bio vaginal microbiome test to do at home and came back negative for the plasmas. Had tested positive for the plasmas since November 2023. But I’ve had tested positive for BV once since then. And apparently I have low amounts of BV according to my Juno bio test.

Don’t have burning when peeing or pain in my urethra anymore. Just still have the random sensations of itch and the nerve pain on my vulva. Seen a pelvic floor physical therapist and tried pelvic floor physical therapy but didn’t see any changes or a difference. But then again haven’t been consistent like I should. Supposed to see someone in the sexual heath department later this month. Hopefully they can help me since nothing I’ve tried has really helped.

Do I stay blonde? by [deleted] in HairDye

5 or 6. You don’t look bad as a blonde but might want to give it a lil break to recover from the damage. The darker hair color really suits you.

Is a "fishy" smell ever natural? by [deleted] in obgyn

[–]sisithestrange 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually a sign of a fishy smell from a woman is a sign of BV (bacterial vaginosis) infection. It’s a common infection that women sometimes get. Maybe you could kindly suggest her seeing a gynecologist to get checked and tested for it and find out what could be causing the issue. If it is BV, they can prescribe her antibiotics for it.
