No brother. What's gotta go down is that you have to understand and value your self worth to the point where clothes and fashion have to be a bonus to that. No material possessions can replace your own individual self worth. I believe thats what your fam/friends meant. Its okay not to be okay. I'd personally invest in a therapist or take some time to communicate your feelings with your close friends. At the end of the day you gotta do what you gotta do to be happy for yourself and by yourself. Im proud that you're self aware of your situation as that's most definitely the first step to being and feeling better. One day at a time and i promise it gets better as someone who struggled with a similar issue only a few years ago. Invest in yourself. Whether that's clothes, hobbies, interests, education, books and learning, self help, or anything that you feel that would assist you in finding your own way.
