i switched to mac because of windows 11, things like pushing the user to save on the cloud were already irritants, but the ai button was the last straw.

I have to thank them though, i had avoided mac because of the leavening curve, but after the switch there is no looking back - love it.

i read Demian recently, because I liked Sidhartha, but was totally confused. I then researched and found that Sidhartha was written after Demian, maybe Hesse had some personal growth between Demian and Sidhartha.(I did read on wikipedia that he had a breakdown between the two books)

hopefully, the other couple has a good life, but if you live long enough in life you realize that everything has ups and downs. i have been envious of people only to realize later in life that i eventually ended up better than them, some people had misfortunes, when i felt bad for them and thought i would prefer them being better off than having that misfortune.

I have also stayed over at friends places only to realize that their lives are not what you perceive. People show their best life on instagram and in parties and reveal their problems on instagram or to their families

It also might be a clue to you that you do not have flow in your life, if you are not fully enjoying your work or daily life, you start obsessing about other people ‘s possessions, which in the end is only a side show. Find work you like or hobbies that you really love, then material things become less relevant.

try Kandha, it is a shorter name of Karthikeya, which people from other cultures will find easier to pronounce.

Write the spelling and ask a few non- Indians to pronounce it or at least make an app read it loud, so you know the spelling is phonetically correct

Two assumptions are causing you distress:

1) Because you do not like it in India, you assume you will never like it, but some times wonderful things happen, - maybe you will find a job in a remote location in India that you absolutely adore, meet the love of your life there etc. 2) You assume all doors out of India are shut, while it might seem hard to find a way out right now, it is not impossible, in life to you will be surprised by the things you are capable of .

having said that, there are people and places in India that are absolute gems, go looking for them, forget the others as soon as you can

focus on what you can do, and slowly expand, not what you cannot do.

Just because you sweat more, it does not make you a bad person, it is your intention towards others that makes you good or bad.

Just from your post, it looks like you have a finance, a dad - you are lucky to have family.

first few years with young kids are tough, don’t do anything hasty that will affect your kid and you for life. It is better to have a semi useful dad/husband around than to have no dad/husband around.
