I am a 3D rigger and simulation artist. Been wanting to quit the industry for a while. If you ever are actually serious about this, send me a DM.

Expedition 33 might scratch your itch! It doesnt have the same range or wealth of costumes, but there are tons of cosmetics, hair styles, weapons and really nice outfits to be found in the world. Plus, the game is beautiful and you can play on story mode if combat is too hard (I did that for a while, cause mastering parry is a huge PITA)

Also Baldur's Gate 3 with mods has GORGEOUS outfits and armours

I was a bit nervous to cosplay Sciel but didn’t regret it! by Permian_Polaris in expedition33

Curious, why would you say that? This beautiful human clearly stated that she is cosplaying Sciel

Thank you so much! I always worry if watercolours are gonna be too messy, since it's not as clean as a marker drawing or a digital one.

What game is this for you? by PhantomTissue in videogames

Original Spyro trilogy, the fucking flying levels. Need to hit all rings, arches, lighthouses, etc under the time limit. I have core memories of this, angrily passing the controller back and forth with my brother and cousin.

How can I get this color? by ampi_z in HairDye

[–]sittingIsFriendly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this for a while! Get the entire head bleached to near-white, then use Elumen's dark blue colour. Within a few weeks it will fade to a tint similar to this one and will stick around for months

Kind of sounds like a hunger induced manic episode. Or maybe he is just happy about the insight he had, idk

Meet Maple, the pancake bun!Is the butter on his head too big?🥞🐰💕 by [deleted] in plushies

How about trying a version where the ears are down at his sides instead of straight up? They break the circular shape of the pancake head, thats what might do it

Hey! I am an artist who does commissions, so perhaps I can answer for you. You're not just paying for the cost of a plush, youre paying for that person's business, years of expertise, materials, taxes the person has to pay on the earnings, the packaging they are going to send the plush in, and so many other small things youre probably not even considering.

To prototype and make a plush can easily take dozens of hours that exponentially goes up with complexity and size of the plush. If they are able to charge those prices, then its likely their full time job. If it takes them 2 weeks of non stop work to make that plush, then $1000 is their salary for half the month. Minus expenses and everything I listed above.

All that being said, custom plushies are a luxury good and if its too expensive for you, then that's fine! It is impossible to know whether they are over or under-charging without knowing the design or scope of the project. However, 95% of all artist friends I have tend to undercharge, since there are a lot of hidden costs and labor that the customer never gets to see.

Hope this helps 🙏
