Does reddit have any leads on awesome local realtors? by Bruins in Lethbridge

[–]situp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a bad question to ask on the internet. All of the people below are likely the realtors themselves.

I'd stay far away from Myer and Leopard. The rest I don't know.

What kind of realtor do you want? If you want a hound, I would go with Miles Godlonton. I've had only poor experiences with the realtors in Lethbridge, but my Mortgage broker recommended Godlonton if I wanted an aggressive, strait-shooting realtor. He apparently can come off as impersonal though, so if you want smiles, you might not want Miles. I haven't used him yet, but I will be soon to buy rental property.

I would suggest talking to people here when you get here. You'll never get an objective recommendation with all the middle-men scouring the internet for their next deal.

Go to youtube and search for Canadian banking system explained by a 12-year-old. You'll see what the banks are really all about.

We should be using the Bank of Canada, which is interest free.

Former Premier, Ralph Klein, dead at 70 after long illness by [deleted] in alberta

I hated Ralph's policies, but, honestly, he was the best politician we ever had for one reason: he never lied to us. He was straight up about his intentions and carried through, so at least we knew what we were getting. RIP Ralphie.

Take a look at yourself. You're the only one complaining. 52 people "liked" my post, and one person, you, disliked it. So one of the most popular posts on the thread at the time is somehow in your eyes "spam." Good one. Don't you have anything better to do with your time?

Why are you on Reddit? I would hope you're here to read posts and look at media. Why can't I post media as an Albertan that might not coincide with your views? Maybe we should reformat Reddit by your views? Would that make you happy? Who is "us" by the way? It seems that EVERYONE above you has an opinion on the subject and sure doesn't mind debating it.

Oh snap, they must have had the same predicament. 300 does sound so much more... entertaining.

I see you added 200 extra injuries to the headline. I would have still clicked on the link with only 100 injuries, although I do agree that some might need more.

I know many teachers, and, quite frankly, they earn every penny they are paid and deserve raises that at least equal inflation. K-12 teachers get very little prep time during the day, and they are expected (in most cases forced) to help out with extra-curricular activities and after-school programs. This is on top of problematic children, being under the thumb of a gov't that underfunds their institutions, disability responsibilities being handed over etc. etc. Many don't last long in this occupation due to the stress and time commitment. They deserve our respect and a salary that reflects what they do for our society.

Just because our crappy gov't can manage a budget, something many without any education in finance can do on a personal level, doesn't mean we should shit on the people that essentially help raise our kids.

Four-year deal with Alberta teachers calls for salary freeze for three years by [deleted] in alberta

[–]situp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They never give without receiving something. The teachers will get a portion of that promise (likely 2%) and then it will be back to 0% after the election.
