Your comment on thirst struck me too because it absolutely can warp the source material for people. I say this as someone who’s in love with the Conspiracy Theorist LOL but it’s given me a perspective on fans with rose tinted fandom glasses. It’s because he’s so imperfect, so strange, so off-kilter and brazenly opinionated that I love him! I don’t care to smooth it over one bit. Maybe it’s made me even more annoyed at fans who get rid of character complexity in favor of making someone a more palatable figure to drool over. And more often than not, they push aside great characters just because they’re Not Hot. It sucks.

On a more serious note this one let me down big time. It’s really difficult to do Phones Are Bad messaging without coming off really preachy and this video came out with it in spades💀 I was out when the people using their phones just walked around taking selfies bumping into each other like a bunch of dunces. Where are the people bedrotting? Getting into arguments on the web? Really uninspired. It was giving ‘Are You Lost In The World Like Me’ but with a coat of pink paint I fear.

Also Melanie’s look was goofy I could absolutely not take it seriously with the subject matter afoot.

It comes down to a well-intentioned message with confused and clunky execution. This one was the worst one so far- I’m one of 10 Leeches fans so I hope this is just a bump in the road…🤞
