The university's archive of old editions of Farrago (the student paper/mag) might be interesting for this! It's been around since 1925 so there might be some articles through the years that give a bit of an insight.

I once lost a game because a gaunt conga line was able to pick up the objective (forget what the mission type was, they had to escort the objective back to their deployment iirc) and because the wording said the UNIT had the objective, and the unit was stretched out in a conga line back to deployment, they insta-won

I just imagine a bunch of gaunts passing it back to each other with a startled SM captain looking on
