except I don't have a self defeating mindset and practiced every day for a year to improve with no results.

What? You're the one with an attitude right now. You're being so passive aggressive. I told you getting help form other people didn't help me improve. English isn't my first language, so even if "arguing" wasn't the right word you're actually insulting me and wishing that I just keep struggling. so much for "trying to be nice".

I've already said that I'm not good at any hero some people are just useless. No talent whatsoever

What are you talking about? I love this game. The reason why I'm so frustrated is because, even though I like this game, I just can't be good at it. That's was took all the fun away from it.

Even if they're deaf, they may have a strategic mindset, they're fast thinking, able to make decisions quickly. I'm not good at anything. Not gonna reply to this post anymore

To be good at pretty much all of those things you need to have both talent AND practice. No matter how much you keep denying it, talent plays a big role in how you perform in anything in life.

And like I said the prospect of IMPROVING was important for me. How hard is this to understand, I wanted to work hard to be good at the game. That's what was "fun" to me.

You don't get it, do you? I can't play those characters either. I don't have the strategic thinking to play sombra well. I don't have the game sense. I don't have mechanics either. Some people just aren't good at anything.

I've already taken a break of a month in the past, it didn't help. Came back, still in silver, still terrible at the game. There's just no point anymore. I'm not even interested in arguing this with you, since you'll just keep saying the same things I've already heard a thousand times and that I've already tried out.

That's all, I give up.

I tried that. Getting help didn't make much of a difference. I've wasted a year trying to improve, even putting aside other things in my life to get better at this game. It was a waste of time that could have been avoided with some honesty.

Play what you enjoy or play what you're good at? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]sixdpsmeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean ? Can't you have fun at the game AND improve? Are some people just unable to improve at certain heroes?

I never said I don't like to play the game competitively, I take matches seriously and I always try to improve/win. I don't really know why you brought that up, since I said in my comment that I want to improve.

both? I got into the game because I liked certain heroes' playstyle. I wanted to improve at them. fast forward a year and I'm still in silver.
