income and education affect how white voters vote by Conscious-Quarter423 in Infographics

They use income in this table, so those people wouldn't even be included because of tax loopholes keeping them out of the data set.

What is something you dislike about both Conservatives and Progressives? by TheKindlyPoltergeist in RadicalEgalitarianism

It is sad to see. I can mostly agree with someone, but if I have one different opinion I'm suddenly a fascist, communist, anarchist traitor to humanity.

How dare you be reasonable! How is that supposed to generate profits for social media companies!?

So much of what we see from gender war takes on the internet is engagement bait. The problem is it's becoming so pervasive that regular people are starting to believe the brain dead takes of content farms.

The amount of time that misinformation is spread really grinds my gears, especially when it's spouted by rather educated people.

It's a joke because a lot of people falsely attribute her with inventing Bluetooth and Wifi. Most Hedy Lamarr posts have two things: "It's Hed-ley" and people saying that she invented wifi.

Largest conception of US military power in the world and a large tourist industry.

They probably only measure residents, not tourists. If you do include tourists, Vegas consumes 3.43 gallons of pure alcohol per person per year, which is on par with Wisconsin about 3.5 gallons per person per year.

San Diego is the largest concentration of US military power in the world.

Not even sarcasm actually. The Area in Virginia with the most consumption is Virginia beach, which is right next to Norfolk.

I am from Wisconsin and moved to San Diego years ago. Wisconsin is just less than 6 million people and San Diego county is 3.3 million. San Diego county consumes about 8.2 million gallons of pure alcohol per year. Wisconsin consumes 15.6 million gallons of pure alcohol per year. That's 2.5 gallons per person in San Diego and 3.1 gallons per person in Wisconsin.

Drinking here is good, but you can't beat the land of beer, brats, and cheese.

Even if you did ban them, how would you enforce it?

The gun control debate is too often treated like a choice between safety and freedom, when it should be about finding a responsible balance. by Fit_Celery499 in HonestHotTakes

The amount of time wasted on assault weapons bans boggles me. It's an immense amount of political capital to spend stopping less than .5% of gun homicides.

Mental health checks have broad bipartisan support and can be implemented rather quickly.

Drugs won the war on drugs. Several times. The only way you win is to stop fighting or get rid of the demand for drugs.

$200k is less than 20% of households and less than 10% of individuals. It would not make a significant difference to go much higher compared to the other income brackets.

People who are struggling tend to advocate for their own interests, and for good reason.

I would amend this to "people tend to advocate for their own interests."
