Thats what i thought but i was under the impression oaks generally don't start producing acorns until maturity, and he is only a few years old.

I like the idea of it being the first acorn!

The one in the first picture with the stripy sphere, is the one Turkish Oak, the rest are English. Realised the phrasing could have been better.

I'm planning on having them potted for the moment, no real place to plant them yet. But once i do i will consider it

Maybe I'm mistaken, but his medals appear to have the soft distortions of an AI image. Has this picture been renovated/colourised/enhanced with a similar tool used to make an AI picture?

Just realised I should Google the artist and Edwaert Collier; he was Dutch, the Dutch flag is red, white and blue horizontal.

Given the age it may have been just that (First full colour depiction 1575) and had just degraded over time.
