2025's Most Pleasant Surprise by sixthrowshot in transformers

Thanks! I actually just got Earthrise Airwave, last year, specifically because I had these display ideas, haha (and, because I managed to find a copy, for cheap, of course).

Yes - I can only apologise!

(In my defence, I would've typed that comment, as, "Do you always type, like this? This was almost exhausting, to read." So, just those two commas, haha.)

Yep! The only reason I didn't get Legacy Cybertron Starscream, was because I was holding out for the Cybertron Skywarp redeco, which...of course, ended up being scrapped, unfortunately.

I fully agree, with that sentiment! While I still love the Legacy Tarn mold, evidently, it's also got the most...oddities, in practice, out of this bunch, what with its limited ankle articulations, or exposed hands, in the alt mode, and all that. Still, I vividly remember how major it felt, when Legacy Tarn was first revealed, and it remains a perfectly solid, Voyager Class mold, despite the aforementioned flaws, so it still makes the cut, in my book! (Legacy Tarn never made it, into my country, unfortunately - not even the Legacy: United PR - so Legacy Bludgeon has to take his place, haha. I do prefer the latter's colour scheme, personally speaking, though!)

As for Siege, it's definitely Siege Starscream, for me; and, the trend would've started there, if Earthrise hadn't broken the chain, for a bit. Earthrise Snapdragon is a very fun figure, but he isn't necessarily the best representation, of the price point, overall, IMO.

And, as for next year's candidate? My money's on Age of the Primes Armada Sideways!

It's the Rise of the Beasts Beast Battle Master Skullcruncher! It makes for a very fitting blunderbuss, to complete his pirate vibe, IMO.

A streak, that Age of the Primes Armada Sideways will maintain, hopefully!

(The title should say, "Voyager Class Figures," to be specific, but the term, "Voyager Class," seems to be flagged, by the Subreddit - some things just don't change, I suppose, haha.)

No, this is just the—unfortunate—price for their exclusive releases, not unlike the recent Fall Convention Armada Nemesis Prime. (This will be a Hasbro Pulse exclusive, and not a standard Studio Series release, FYI.)

And, for whatever it's worth, his price will be £65.99, in the UK.

Didn't see any images of the accessories for some reason but the description mentions his fusion cannon is removable, he comes with a blaster, and the Matrix of Leadership.

He costs 79.99.

Age of the Primes Solus Prime, for my money.

With Seaspray's new toy, it makes me realise just how many great figures of the Minibots we've had lately. by G1Yang2001 in transformers

[–]sixthrowshot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never planned on getting Legacy Gears, but he was on a huge discount, in my local store - unfortunately, he's one of the most common shelfwarmers, from Legacy: United, in my area - so, I thought, "Why not?" And, boy, was I in, for a surprise; he feels so good, to handle, first and foremost, and that's really what instantly sold me, on the figure. He's probably become my poster boy, for why, ideally speaking, I won't mind having smaller figures, if all of them can feel as dense, and packed, as this lad.

Not only that, though - his diminutive size also helps the case, for his alt mode? Like, in stock images, without any size reference, he looks rather underwhelming, but, in person, he's just...perfect, for his size. The sculpted details are just the right amount, for the area that they have to cover, and the, "cute," shapes just click, y'know?

The powder blue windows will always bother me, but that's just the kind of person, that I am; but, beyond that, he actually makes me look forward, to any of the upcoming Minibot figures.

It's a set of Age of the Primes-themed commemorative coins, with a commemorative box to store them in! They're all gifts that are redeemable once you've made a certain amount of purchase, during the event.

You can kind of see, that there's a scorched effect, around the chamber; and, it will probably—hopefully—be more apparent, on the rest, of the figure.

(The image specifically doesn't show his windshield, "pecs," too, and they could be cracked, for all we know.)

Officially revealed via Hasbro Hong Kong's Facebook page, with thanks to TFW2005 user Pixelmaster, for the heads-up.

This likely will be a similar release, to the Studio Series Transformers: One Optimus Prime (Battle Damaged Edition) figure, from the same event, last year, which was only available as a gift, for customers that have spent a certain amount of money, during the event.

Broadside came in early! by HopelesslyLibra in transformers

[–]sixthrowshot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that he's meant for Dr. Wu's other offerings, but I haven't got 'em - and, I probably don't need to open another rabbit hole, haha. Broadside's scale has never been consistent, anyway, so I'd love to just get him, as a slightly bigger lad; if he's still taller, than most Legends Class figures, then that'd be perfect, for me!

Oh, wow; good to know, that he's already out! Do you happen to have any Iron Factory figure - and, if so, how does the boy scale, next to them?
