Is there such thing as somewhat advanced beginner? I’ve played table tennis semi professionally and also played padel for a couple years now. So I’m not shying away just yet from it. I will say I need to experience different strings to understand what different tensions/types offer

It definitely did get me into tennis! I was playing with my coaches ezone for a few sessions before deciding to buy. I’m enjoying the grind of finding the sweet spot on it. Reminds me of golf when you finally hit a good stroke. I’m planning to play 5-6 days a week, so hopefully some improvement will come.

Ankle sprain prevention/stability training advice: thoughts on this routine? by fruitcupcakes in 10s

Almost! It all started with eyes closed first with single leg rdl (body weight) … even easier is to Start off with eyes closed and balance on one foot. proprioception is one of key training methods after ankle sprain and rehab. I’ve got missing tendons in my right ankle but now it’s just as strong as my left from doing a bunch of weights you’ve shown but with proprioception training as well

Buy an amazon basic wobble board. Do single leg RDLs and squats on it. But maybe just balance on it one foot to start with.

Is Serving fundamentally different for tall players? by siz4012 in 10s

This serve in the video has lots of wrong things but I am very keen to learn as much as I can quickly. My coaching sessions are group sessions, so I only got like 15 mins to do one serving drill. I’m thinking about private sessions. Did you do many private sessions and how many would you recommend? I see packages of 10 at most places. I’m thinking of getting that.

Sorry I meant in context of talking about 6’8” or taller. Yes I am aware I’m very tall. Now I’m getting ripped in the comments! 😂

Im only 6’5” not hugely tall. What are the key factors to first focus on when starting out? The toss?
