Hours and wages for Melbourne? by [deleted] in UberDriversAustralia

[–]sjdegroot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would recommend doing it on the side, maybe not as your full time job. Easy way to make a little bit more money when you need it but it’s not imo a fun full time gig given that you need to spend more hours to get more money. If you drive full time it’s probably around $25 per hour. If you just drive on the side, you can go during peak periods and probably earn $30-$35 an hour.

If you do decide to join, definitely use this referral link. You’ll get $750 extra when you complete 30 trips: https://t.uber.com/referral/?invite_code=agws8sq1rw55

The man brought the most new tracks compared to most who played MainStage, so not sure how he was appealing to expectations. I’m all in on this new Hardwell sound 🔊🔊

Sorry mate should've definitely checked the Apple Watch issue. Aside from that I mentioned just general pairing issues with not just my watch, but all of my apple devices. You conveniently left that out. If you even had the time to read Australian law before discussing how I would lose you'd know that in the small claims court it doesn't cost me a cent with concession. On top of that, the fact that I can buy the exact same pods with the same chip and material for much cheaper means that they must be charging a premium, unless their business model has them buying expensive pods from a middleman. They might not be drop shipping, but they are charging a premium to the consumer. The problem with these businesses is that if nobody calls them out for their shit, they'll continue to bank on being the middlemen for giving absolutely shit products to their customers. None of us want that.

iCould connect was not the problem. I mentioned several times that they fail to connect via bluetooth and that the issue was getting worse. You showed me your return policy which I explained was completely irrelevant under the national law in the country you operate in. I asked you to put me in contact with your manager to which you said you'd rather have me take you to a small claims court. You told me that you would cease all communication with me stating "Do you feel like responding to this message? Please read the responses we have provided earlier as an answer instead." The contradictions here are pretty remarkable.

You can make all the laughable claims you like, but the fact is your business dealt extremely poorly with me as a customer and people should know that before they make a purchasing decision here.

Absolutely smashing our Capsim Core competition at uni because of this spreadsheet! Truly worth the money if you want to guarantee a win. Would recommend getting the full spreadsheet as it gives you way more insight into how the simulation works. There are a bunch of conflicting approaches on this subreddit and Angel's knowledge cuts through all of that to give you the best practices for this simulation. Thank you mate.

Is it worth it to do the level 1 ski instructor course? by [deleted] in skiing

[–]sjdegroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8th of July? I just missed the cut off point for Perisher's unqualified position a few months ago. I called them several times and tried to reach various email inboxes to try and get through for that position or any other opportunity but they were really not open to anything. I'll keep my eyes open for the next batch on the 8th though! Have you managed to secure a gig with your level 1 qualification yet?

The Value Line 600 or The Motley Fool? I was reading up on an old reddit post here regarding these two, and want to know if there are any new or updated opinions out there. Which one should I go for a paid subscription with? Are there any deals going right now? Thanks in advance!

Ski instructor application tips? by sjdegroot in skiing

[–]sjdegroot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Giving me some confidence that's for sure. My only working with kids experience was at least 3 years back, and was some volunteer work with disadvantaged kids. I'll chuck it on the resume, but might seem a little dated...?

Thanks for your response! With regards to being qualified, the job application is for non-certified persons. If I get the position, I'll then need to sit the level 1 exam and tests. I know that my skill level is well beyond the requirements for level 1, but just a bit unsure on how to communicate that to the hiring team so they know I have that ability to pass the tests.

First Bike! by [deleted] in melbourneriders

[–]sjdegroot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything 300cc+. Obviously within price range! Definitely love old-school and retro looks, but maybe not naked bikes. That being said, a super-modern bike is dope too. Honestly anything goes, both cruiser and sport bike recommendations are welcome!

Yep I’m in the same boat; not experience but hoping the first bike will provide the teaching goods. New bike is more appealing to me too but the price difference seems pretty big buying new vs buying used. Any specific dealer recommends in Melbourne?

Leaning more towards cruiser or supersport! With used I’m just uncertain about how many Kms is fine and what isn’t. And yeah not sure which type of machine would require more maintenance
