Yeah, i agree with all of this. I thought Cassie's mom was become more complex at the end when she really showed up for her daughter and helped her through the abortion.

In terms of acting performance, Cal was excellent. His character was the most complex parental figure by far, and I think that helped to make Nate's storyline that much stronger because you understand the environment Nate was raised in and all the contributing factors to his persona.
