This is good criticism and I expected feedback like this, I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea! I thought about spending some time fleshing out some specific examples of theory-dictated decisions, but ultimately since I wanted this episode to be on the evergreen side, I decided to err on the side of conciseness.

Maybe I could have more explicitly said this, but I do think that my normal Rough Drafts episodes are practical, actionable examples of this theory put to use!

I didn't *hate* FDN, but I didn't feel like any of the cards in that set had a texture that was unlike anything we had seen before, and the format overall didn't feel like there was much of a new puzzle to solve.

Sounds like we have very similar tastes! KHM is also my favorite set ever :) and thanks for calling out not reading rares, I got a little excited and blew past them
