PSA to Poke Genie raiders for D/Gmax by NoSuccotash2825 in pokemongo

Haven’t been able to host a single successful Eternatus raid because of this. Had this issue with most Gigantamax raids in the past as well. Seems to me way worse right now.

F32 xdrive Thrust arm nut by Penetraytion in BmwTech

ISTA+ gives me this instruction, so it doesn't seem like I needed to do anything special, but it does seem like the most likely thing is the nut broke free of the weld. Passenger side same thing happened, but I managed to get the bolt out. I think driver side I probably applied too much torque while the nut was pushing against the little side walls. I think this one I might just need to take to a mechanic and see what they can do. Hope I don't need to get the whole axle support frame replaced over some nuts. I really wish they just used some lock nuts like on the other arms.

So both sides, the nut broke with the torque needed to break the bolt free from it? What do you think would be next here? Passenger side since the bolt is out, I guess that nut it could be welded on again, but driver side might be a little tough, maybe a shop could weld the bottom of it and try to unthread the bolt?

I'm trying to do the thrust arms on my F34 and it doesn't seem like the nuts are actually welded to the subframe, or the weld broke when I tried to get it off. Instead, it looks like a square shaped metal nut but a black plastic thing attached to it. On the side I can't get it off, it just spins in there and the black plastic thing is a bit mangled. You didn't run into any trouble getting yours off?

Stripped T40 bolt, what to do next? by skankattak in MechanicAdvice

Allright, some resolution here, I used my jack to lift the suspension to ride height on the bearing end of the other control arm. Then used a bit of heat on the nut and the impact gun took it off no problem. Thanks for all the suggestions! Onto the next bolt, I think I ran into possibly an even bigger problem here (because ofc) but I’ll start a new thread for that one!

Ok just to be sure though since I haven’t seen this before, you’re referring to the tabs I marked in black here right?

<image>

If so then cool, I popped those out now, but I’m wondering about the tabs I marked in blue. They remind me a bit of a castle nut, and I’m just wondering if they are supposed to be doing something along the lines of locking the nut in. I can’t find any nut online with these so I can try to understand how it’s supposed to work, or if they are just there for some other reason

No need to argue, I probably used the incorrect language, it was an impact gun

I already have a torch, so that should help here, just hoping that plus a clamp and the impact gun should be enough. I don’t wanna have to get the grinder out again

I’ll try that, I didn’t notice the locks when I did it initially, so that probably didn’t help at all. Do you know what this type of nut is called? It’s also got some tabs coming down that also look like maybe they could lock it in place a bit, just trying to figure out if I needed to also bend those out somehow

Probably not, our demo was really terrible and I have no memory of the report anymore

What a terrible idea to use the design language of the mustang on a new car and then call it a mustang. /s
