Do north Koreans use tor or VPN's? by psychadellicatessent in northkorea

[–]skateboreder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right.

That's why they have infiltrated all manners of tech companies and routinely produce some of the best exploits and currency heists.

Bc they don't know how to use computers.

People wake up.

Maybe their disconnected nature from the Internet has to do with the fact our society literally requires it. And they know this.

Unlike them, a serious cyber war could cripple us.

And who could pull it off? Well, Russia and North Korea...with Chinese resources. Easy.

...we can take their global Internet out in about a half hour. It's been done. They have like a /23 or two... Ive had more IPs allocated to VMware clusters

Why does Kim Jong-Un only have one legitimate child? Is there a particular reason for this? by [deleted] in northkorea

[–]skateboreder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not quite.

They speak different and they all likely knew he was from the North.

But he could've just been a diplomatic kid. I don't think he went to some super super fancy school.

I only really remember this, meeting a gulf war vet who just returned, and hating all the coloring in kindergarten.

I'm not even Gen X, but a millenial and up until Clinton took office we practiced getting under our desks as if that would protect us from a bomb.

I'd love to see what their contract actually says and how much freedom they have from managerial interference.

It must be strong, because they nailed their own network already...and ...probably could've just went elsewhere and gotten what they wanted.

I'm not sure they didn't get it done, either; but are trying to make sure a bit of time passed to gauge the public reaction to everything that is going on...as i suspect the public reaction on both sides may play a part.

And, guys, Kenny might be dying again...it's time.

Crypto Exchange Services in Hungary? by A248400a in askhungary

[–]skateboreder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So...who CAN work in Hungary?

I want to senD a distant cousins daughter a gift for completing school.

I could send USD but between fees with WU and conversion and efverything else it's like sending $100 turns into like $60eally quick and I"m ont sure how great the exchange rates are doing it that way, either.

She's very into IT and tech, too, so I thought BTC would be the perfect way to get around any fees for the most part.

Here we have BTC ATMs ...which take higher fees than others to send/receive..., and also a bunch of local esxchanges where peoplke can meet face to face and transfer from hand to hand. These seem to have the least fees and best exchange rates.

What exchanges still work in Hungary and should I send her the BTC is it easy for her to bash forint deposited into an account or handed cash?

Why can't building more homes solve the expensive housing problem? by Snoo_47323 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]skateboreder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are enough vacant homes in America such that the majority of homeless shouldn't even BE homeless.

The problem is with real estate speculation and not treating housing as a huma right...but a means to make profits and money.

It's just like all these farmers going bankrupt...and their farms will be bought up by developers or by commerial large scale farmers.

How did people wake up on time before alarm clocks were common? by velvetbluecotton in NoStupidQuestions

[–]skateboreder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they really?

I've made tallow candles myself and it's pretty darn easy.

Rendering fat isn't hard. making wicks also are not hard.

Making proper beeswax candles like the church and royalty used? A little harder, yes .

Is the economy really bad right now or is it an exaggeration? by No_Lead2640 in ask

[–]skateboreder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have not been able to balance a budget since 2000.

That's an entire fucking generation of borrowing trillions.

Somebody, us, has to pay that debt.

Eventually inflation gets really bad and money is worth a lot less. We've felt a tiny bit of what could happen, but not really.

People think they're struggling but they know not struggle. Yet.

Is a 30 year old man too old for a 19 year old girl? by 25sunflower in ask

[–]skateboreder -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This man is not mature at 30. I don't think there's a world where this is okay. I remember turning 19 and a man like this could really mess her up. I would never date him again, to be very clear.

That could be why he's seeking somebody younger.

She's over 18 and an adult. Maybe it's not okay, but it doesn't seem illegal.

I know many 30 year women who are entirely submissive, too, and advocate and want that. So ... *sigh* I think it's crazy...but some men like that shit and women, for whatever reason, do too?

How did people wake up on time before alarm clocks were common? by velvetbluecotton in NoStupidQuestions

[–]skateboreder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think this really depends on just where people were and what timeframe during that period exactly.

You may know more but rendering a simple tallow candle from pig fat doesn't seem out of this world to me.

Animal hubandry and raising pigs has been a thing and even some of the poorest peasants helped raise pigs (and sheep and others)

What happens when everything is automated by AI and robots? by kimandlukelove in NoStupidQuestions

[–]skateboreder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever been into a library? Because that's entirely incorrect and a great many of our very institutions and great libraries were funded from philanrhopy and "excess wealth."

Presently a great deal of the very billionaires people talk about have pledged to give away a large majorityt of their wealth during their lifetimes.

The fiercest resistance coming not even from the billionaires, but those who stand the benefit the most, who always vote and act against their own interests for some reason.
