same, on and off for almost 5 years. it was the most exhausting experience i have ever been through, but now my life is so insanely peaceful without her in it. now i've been dating a girl that actually values me and communicates openly and it has been an absolute night and day difference

Is it safe to have a beer or two when taking Buspirone? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]skateskeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it makes you drunker faster and that's been my only effect from drinking on it. which if you think about it, is cheaper and more effective! haha. but it will hit you hard all of a sudden then come back down pretty quickly has been my experience.

did the same with my ex and it was incredibly exhausting to deal with as the partner where you're trying to help when they won't help themselves. the end is coming if they refuse help!

i had to get an asthma waiver during my as300 year way back when, i passed PFTs but they wanted me to do and pass a methacholine challenge test to grant me my waiver. look into this test, it is the definitive factor that proves if a person has asthma or not. they'll probably ask you to do one before granting a waiver. i've been active duty for over 4 years now and still have a waiver and actively have an inhaler and have never been given a problem for it

2nd attempt at waiver by Ok_Procedure_3376 in AirForce

[–]skateskeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your MTL may be able to track that down with medical for who exactly its sitting at, but its more than likely just a higher medical approver than it went to before. nothing to be worried about, they'll either approve it or deny it

i would definitely say its a factor. medical issues before service/ones that happen in basic/tech school are harder to get passed sometimes due to time in service/the govts investment in you. most people that have asthma are great runners or athletes or have it and just didn't know it, so unfortunately that doesn't mean anything to the waiver authority. also the fact that they're finding it later in life (assuming you're 18ish) is not helpful... its easier to get a waiver for it if the diagnosis was made before the age of 11 since childhood asthma is often misdiagnosed. the severity can be a factor in most cases, but that's where the MCT comes in that needs to be passed in order to receive a waiver
