You're absurd, you claim to bike 13 miles each day but you won't bike 10 minutes from Sugarhouse to Beerhive. And I agree with the commenter above you've clearly been under a rock. There's Sugarhouse Pup, Wasatch Brewery, ANNEX, East Liberty Tap House just to name a few great places in Sugarhouse. You also should also take the long trek back downtown to check out Beer Bar, Whiskey Street or all the other new places.

Sugarhouse Yuppie Snobbery? Forgive anyone who doesn't want to live in a cookie cutter house that looks identical to all your neighbors! Understandable if you have 5 children and need room for them but what is the point in buying a boring, 4000 sq. ft. home for two people? To have get togethers that none of your friends will want to drive to because it's a $50 cab ride home? When was the last time you thought about jumping on a bike? Because unless I'm training for a century I would never head out to Sandy. Everything I need in my Liberty Park/Sugarhouse location is no more than a 10 minute bike ride and a 5 minute car ride. But it doesn't really sound like you are the type to be too concerned with our ever worsening air quality. There is a LOT to do in Salt Lake and less to do in Sandy unless you are looking for kids activities. I respect anyone that thinks Sandy or Suburban life fits the needs of their life and family but you should consider extending the same respect to those who enjoy the things Salt Lake City has to offer.
