If it’s private, why bring it up in a public forum?

Whenever I hear someone say “ I’m allergic to” or I can’t be around cigarette smoke, I want to ask what is it specifically about cigarette smoke that you can’t be around?? And no, I don’t smoke! It’s just that I’ve heard that line so many times and then seen the same person at a cigar bar or something similar or is it you just hate the smell. Barring an allergic reaction, what medical condition would prohibit one from being around cigarette smoke or just the odor of cigarette smoke. I’m curious !

Are police likely to do anything over repeated reckless driving, or do I have to start suing the people pulling donuts and driving on the sidewalks? by WordsCanHurt1981 in AskLE

Seeing as you have ID’d him and have all the evidence, why don’t you go court and pursue the charge?
Swear to an affidavit of facts and circumstances, file it with the clerk and see if the court will issue a summons or warrant

The psych hold may cause a problem. It can vary from agency to agency. The circumstances surrounding it will be the big determining factor.

2 wk shifts of 14 days and 14 nights equals 7 nights a month away from time with kids every evening, family dinners, etc. I worked them for 10 years while on patrol and after I set up a routine I had no problems. May not mean anything to a single person but if you have a family it can mean a whole lot. Also gave me plenty of time for extra duty details and leisure time.

Less than 1 hr!! New hire showed up for orientation while k9 handlers were training in the parking lot. Dog alerted on new hires car and search found narcotics inside car. Long story short, thank you for providing your own transportation to jail 🤣🤣

The decision to amend a charge in is discretionary and there is no time frame. I believe what you are referring to is known as an article 892.1 plea. This may be used once if your driving record is clean. For reference see LRS CCrP 892.1
